Expensive ; No LTE mobile broadband option ; Wi-Fi 6, not 6E

It could stand a price cut, but the 14-inch, 2.3-pound Asus Chromebook CX9 is the very model of a capable business Chromebook.

This is an attractive and well-built Chromebook with nice design touches like the ErgoLift hinge and touchpad-integrated number pad. However, the higher-end models are expensive.

ASUS got a lot of things right when it introduced its first truly flagship Chromebook. The Chromebook CX9 is great for heavy workloads, Steam Alpha gaming, and most other tasks, but subpar battery lif It was almost perfect.

Incredibly powerful ; Unique hinge makes it even more comfortable to type on ; Compatible with Google's Steam Alpha initiative ; Durable and sturdy construction ; UHD display is gorgeous
