You could find similar systems for less; the sheer volume of different Eee PC models can be confusing.

This retail version of the popular Eee PC Netbook, the 1005PEB, hits the required notes, and is a little less expensive than many other retail Netbooks (but more than some online models).

MINE DIED. I believe the hard drive failed after owning it for less than 4 months. Windows won't boot, there is no recovery disc or image...and even if there was, I can't install anything. My Linux USB boot drive sees the netbook hard drive, but it...

Sleek, comfortable, very mobile and quick bootups ; Lots of useful function keys. Webcam is basic, but gets the job done

Horrible product/ service!! Don't buy ASUS!!

 

ONLY THE SIZE: small, easy to carry with, light, descent battery life

First off, 3-month warranty is too short ; Second, this netbook was malfunctioning from Day 1 ; The worst is that the service of ASUS is horrible ; Online (e-mail) inquiries ; They do reply to your inquiries, but their answers are NOT helpful AT ALL....
