Review Asus F3Jm

Asus F3Jm too belongs to the 15.4'' multimedia class and is there

good workmanship, robust case ; variety of ports ; comfortable keyboard ; user friendly touch pad ; bright display ; good performance ; low emissions ; acceptable battery runtime

nearly all ports at the right side ; Vertically low stability to the vantage point

Asus F3Jm

It commands something of a premium price, but Asus' F3Jm doesn't disappoint when it comes to performance.

Inbuilt webcam ; Decent performance ; Generous warranty terms

Video out ports in a tricky place ; Predictably low battery life ; Annoying POST chime

Asus backs the F3Jm with a two year pickup warranty, which is extremely generous; most notebook manufacturers offer a single year with paid options for multi-year coverage; getting two years without paying a penny more is excellent value.

great laptop

Would be nice if it had bluetooth, and I would of rather of had a single partition on the hard drive instead of 2 partitions, but not a big deal.

Basically it has performed perfectly for what I bought it for especially considering the money that it costs it's a bargain

Would like to have the audio jacks somewhere besides the front. Also the main computer speakers do not turn off when I plug something into the audio jacks, might just be a driver problem though

Excellent laptop

Had a couple issues with Ubuntu 6.10. The wireless network card didn't work until I had installed the linux-restricted-modules package. Your mileage may vary with other distros. Second was the headphone jack not outputting any sound, this was solved by...

Looks beautiful, lots of features, easily upgraded RAM (1 free slot), you get what you pay for

None that I couldn't overcome, except not getting it sooner

Early on in my buying decision, I needed help from Newegg.com customer support, and, as usaul they came through with flying colors. A definite A++ in my opinion. If you are looking for service and attention after the sale, newegg.com cannot be beat.

So far the F3JM has lived up to the good reviews. The notebook comes with a super graphics card and a pretty quick processor. If you are in the market for a notebook that has a decent graphics card that can play today's games, and a good price, you...

Apparently, the F3JM-AP012P notebook that is sold in the US does NOT come with bluetooth. I was a little disappointed. As mentioned in previous reviews, the speakers aren't the best. Certainly not the worst, though

Perfect Laptop For The Price

No regrets with this purchase. If you want to save hundreds of dollars and don't mind the fact that it's not absolute cutting edge this is the one to buy.

Couldn't be happier. Looked at a lot of laptops at retail stores and very few were set up for any type of gaming. I came to newegg as I always do after doing my hands on research and read the reviews. Pros are as follows: No shiny fingerprint...

The only issues I have had are with resuming after the LCD turns off. No matter what keys I press I can not get the monitor to come back on without hitting the power button. I fixed this by setting video timer OFF to never. Also, it's hardly worth...

Great Gaming Notebook.

I bought this laptop pretty specifically to be powerful enought to play World of Warcraft. It does the job extremely well. I hit the current 64fps cap (from a dual core CPU bug with WoW right now) almost everywhere. Ironforge with lots of people is no...

Powerful graphics card with a ton of RAM (512) in a notebook. Great CPU, great screen. Looks great, has next gen ports for practically everything

My internal wireless card does not work properly. It will connect to the network, then drop, then connect, then drop, etc. I've tried it with multiple routers, so I know it is the card. I don't want to return the whole laptop for that, so I'm probably...

Great buy

You can't beat this laptop for the price. With a set of headphones, you will be able to watch movies or play games with the big boys.

The graphics card can handle games like BF2142 with high settings. I do have to scale back the settings when running on battery alone. The screen looks great, not a single dead pixel. I love that it comes loaded with XP Pro instead of Home

Speakers suck. Not a problem for me since I will mainly use headphones. The unit feels kind of "cheap". I don't know how to explain it any other way. My previous laptop felt much more solid. I don't have a problem with it though, just thought I would...

Awesome laptop!

Amazing laptop and I paid $100 more than what Newegg is selling it for now, but still worth it! BEWARE of the sound issue though, because it is a VERY common problem, research before buy.

Extremely fast, almost desktop replacement. Amazing price, plays WoW highest settings perfectly while running other programs. AMAZING screen, super high quality chassis

SUPER common known flaw -- the Audio DJ malfunctions very commonly on this model and will result in either your speakers not working at all, or they will always be on whether you have headphones plugged in or not. Only solution is RMA to ASUS
