Great Laptop

Its a wonderful college laptop with some decent gaming potential and an amazing wireless card. Full signal across the house and in the basement from a Wifi-G router... Cant wait to see Wifi-N on campus. ASUS makes wonderful laptops... eat your heart...

Very fast, great screen resolution for the size, VERY little bloatware to uninstall (although still some), better than expected battery life. Wonderful warranty and extras

The webcam had a weird picture at first, but it was an easy adjustment to make. The air it blows out of the right side vent is very warm but that is to be expected. Also it is a little on the heavy side. It is very fingerprint magnetized, but it comes...

great buy

all the accessories that this notebook comes with are great. the mouse(logitech) performs well, and the two dust cloths are nice. minimal bloatware was present, and some of the programs it came with are actually really useful! one of them that i really...

awesome specs. they crammed a lot of stuff into this laptop, and at a [semi] reasonable price! hard drive is fast for a 5400rpm(also very quiet!), 3 gigs of ram, an above average screen res of 1440x900, and a very fast dual core cpu. all of that is...

life isn't perfect, and with that said, i do have some gripes about this notebook. keep in mind that they're all minor ones that don't really impact performance. the activity lights are a tad bit bright for my tastes, the dvd drive doesn't have an...

Comes with a notebook case

Just to let you know that the box includes an ASUS notebook case. So don't order a case along with it, like I did

Speakers are not very good

Vista is the biggest downfall

Battery life for this unit could be better, even in battery saving mode you may only get about 2 1/2 hours out of it but mostly its going to hover around 2 hours. Definitely a good buy even now but I'd hold off till the price dips a bit more.

Excellent specs, definitely handles Vista better than most notebooks. Tons of storage space, good quality webcam, not a huge amount of bloatware and best of all you've got enough space to dualboot if you're not a huge fan of Vista. Its fairly light as...

The finish on the outside attracts finger prints too easily, while it looks good clean it doesn't stay that way for long. Additionally theres an ongoing problem with the video card and Vista which can cause some games to throw the dreaded "Display...

good laptop - bad OS

Vista is pig but should soar once i get a solid state drive :)

everthing - excellent build quality, aesthetics, keyboard has a nice feel and sound. screen is great - i dont mind the glossy finish and text looks great. overall a great buy. thanks to asus and newegg

battery is small and will last 2.5 hours tops ; only a minor point for an otherwise great product

Great Deal

In 3DMark06, I get these scores with SP1: 3DMarks: 3566 SM 2.0: 1475 SM 3.0: 1261 CPU: 1881 (My 3.4 Pentium D in my tower got 1746!)

For the price, you get a Penryn CPU, 3GB of RAM and the HDD gets similar vista scores to my 7200rpm Hitachi Travelstar in my HP. Another bonus, for the tech savvy, is that the 9500 card is MXM so its upgradable

The fact that AFTER I paid for this machine, I noticed another ASUS that was almost identical but was a 15.4" with a numpad. Also, though newegg and/or ASUS may say its a 1440x900 resolution, its actually 1280x800, though its still sharp enough on a 14.1

Asus F8Sn-C1

USed to own a Sony FZ280 series and gave up blu-ray for this. That was a T7250 with Nvidia 8400M GS card. This notebook feels much more snappy on all counts although the Sony looks slightly better (maye I should have have got the leather version of the...

Great build character. Notebook display is crisp and sharp and T9300 processor with a Nvidia 9500M GS card definitely is considered hi-specs. Fuss-free hi-power computing ; Has both DVI as well as VGA outputs (why?) since it only supports an additional...

Bevel on top housing camera is slightly large ; Wished there was an HDMI output

Absolutely Great

So pretty much, if youre looking for a portable machine with enough gaming power then this is it.

First of all, the notebook is a great bargain. I've been looking for a setup using the new penryn chipset and one of nvidia's new 9000 series graphics card...and this works out just right. The setup is quite power efficient...on battery saving, and...

The screen's horizontal viewing angle is pretty good but vertically, not so true. I haven't had a problem with it, but if your friend is sitting on your shoulder trying to watch the same movie...that might not work out too well ; There is a decent bit...
