ASUS F9E Notebook Review

New ASUS F9E notebook features 12.1-inch screen and is very affordable in terms of pricing. But is a screen diagonal enough to place this solution a priori into a sub-notebook category? Let's find out from our new review!

Modern exterior design, Low temperature of the case, Long battery life, Wide wireless opportunities, Optional fingerprint scanner and 3G/3.5G modem, Integrated 1.3-megapixel web-camera, Reasonable price

Glossy coating of the display, High weight but small screen diagonal, USB ports are too close to each other on the back panel

Awesome little notebook, great warranty plan

Overall it's great price for something that is compact, battery life is decent, graphic is decent, 2gb memory is a plus. If only I can have xp on this baby, it's perfect for everyday business use.

It comes with option to downgrade to XP, but when my teckie tried it it diddn't work. Also, the finger print scan is missing so if you are big on that, you can just the Asus data security software that comes with the notebook.

Good value for money

Was looking for a little bit more portable laptop than your regular laptops. This one is smaller in size, and lighter than average. But I was also on a budget, and those two things don't usually go together well. But this seemed to be a good compromise.

Excellent value for money. Loaded with options, generous amounts of memory and hard drive space, especially considering it's a moderately priced laptop. Also, if you don't like Vista, it comes with a downgrade option. You can downgrade to Windows XP!

The fingerprint reader seems to be absent, there's only a cover plate where it should be, so if that's important, be aware. The battery is also shaped a little funkily, it kind of protrudes from the back, but then again it's actually a good place to...
