Horrible

this is my second review and im highly dissatisfied with asus. I would not recommend this laptop to anyone. Im never going to buy from asus again. plus i didn't help that i lost the little sheet of paper that tells you to send it in to start your...

It has a decent graphics card. i can run counter strike source at around 50 fps

Hate the partitioned hdd. My dang fan hasn't worked at all, it only works every once in a blue moon. i have minor burns on my legs from how hot this laptop gets in the back. The power cord falls out easily. my keyboard started to squeak every time i...

Good performer for the price, I like it better than my macbook pro

On the WEI benchmarking, CPU 5.8, memory 7.1, gaming and graphics at 3.7 and 5.9. I actually had get rid of the hitachi HD that came with this system cause i wanted a 7200 rpm 500GB for all my media and video encoding. Now, my system runs at 7.4 :). I...

The Turion II M520 processor rivals the performance of my Hp P8400 2.26 GHz Core 2 Notebook. Video system is pretty decent, decodes HD and x264 streams well. Atheros 9285 wireless BGN has excellent range. The LED powered LCD is ridiculously bright,...

The bad No eSATA port, no bluetooth. Supplied Hitachi 5K320 hard drive is a tad sluggish, but does the job if you are normal. You dont really feel the sluggishness of the HD until you do intenstive tasks like HD encoding

c drive d drive

fresh installs keep my am3 ddr3 gtx pc running very tip top with no virus no laggy soft ware just hanging around its best to have a original install disk or to make a backup img of your new pc ,s os fresh and new

the hard drive being partitioned is a perfect lay out . 75 gb gives you all the room you need for OS all programs and would allowe plenty of games . where as the d drive has about 200 gb that gives you all the room you need to strore all your movies...

when doing a fresh install you have a choice of where to install like c drive d drive e/f/g drive even a thumb . you just pick C drive and presto you have a fresh os and all your files are safe right there in the D drive. from there you can then...

ASUS K50 Series K50AD-X1 NoteBook AMD Turion II M520(2.3GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570

I suggest this laptop for anyone looking for a laptop that can run pretty much anything out there smoothly. I love it so far, and I havent had many problems with it besides the partitions.

Plays games great, able to run Aion on top settings flawlessly in most circumstances. Can run Crysis on highest settings, but is pretty laggy, though that is to be expected

The HDD came partitioned, and there is no disc or instructions on how to combine the partitions, so you have one drive with 80G's and another with 210G's, which is very troubling when attempting to install multiple large games

Nasty

Having bought and worked on a lot of these, I'd just go with an MSi, they seem to have a much better initial build quality. If you don't mind Nuking it from orbit upon recipt, this one might be for you. Discrete graphics at this pricepoint is nothing...

Specs, price, multi touch trackpad, x64 windows from the factory, discrete graphics

Appaling noise from the fan, could only be cured by wiping the drive and installing a retail copy of windows. Also, when the factory restore discs were used, OOBE was launched on every startup. Shovelware was particularly egregious in it's...

Great for the Price

I liked that is has a Gigabit LAN port. I noticed a bunch of other notebooks only had 10/100 ports. A faster hard drive would be nice, but for the price, it is hard to complain.

It plays EverQuest II better than the old desktop it is replacing. The keyboard feels good, the hardware is respectable for the price, the LCD looks good, the outer casing is very attractive, and there is plenty of included software. Upgradeable to 8...

There is a LOT of software on here that most people do not need, and it took several hours to uninstall it all. Asus has the hard drive partitioned into two logical drives, which makes no sense to me. Not a big deal, but just kind of random. While it...

Probably the BEST gaming laptop for a the least amount of money possible. Very cheap, very effective. I wish I could revert to XP, and I just might give a XP revert a try, I am already having issues with Windows 7 and the old programs I use to work on...

Windows 7 ; Dedicated video card ; Cheap ; Awesome :) ; Doesn't melt your wrists off like most laptops ; Decent webcam ; Decent speakers ; Decent mic ; 1 year warrenty

Battery life is very low, what can you expect though with the dedicated video card ; TONS of bloatware ; Setup took like a hour and a half, uhhg. All good though

Great PC

Love the PC. For Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Internet searches, etc. this is great value for its price. Don't do gaming so I can't speak for that

With a dedicated Video Card, the battery needs to be better. 2hrs max life. If you watch movies, need to have the AC adapter ready

asus, not vert good

over all its moderatly good btu i probably wont buy another asus laptop gain because of all the confusion i got with the hdds

sleek and slim. it can run and hl2 based game. great graphics card and incredibly fast

the integrated mic does not work and the web-cam is extremely choppy. The hard drive i got with it its really confusing there are 2 drives the (c:) drive which only has 75 gbs on it and the (d:) drive which has 208 gb on it. they could have just put it...
