All in One? Asus sends a pricely attractive all-round notebook in

Chic design; Low noise development; Good gaming performance; Good touchpad; Many connections; Windows 7 upgrade voucher

Battery life under load; Mediocre display; Poor sound; Deflective keyboard

Other pricely attractive and halfway efficient all-round notebooks, such as the Acer Aspire 5935G, the Acer Aspire 5739G, the Acer Aspire 5536G or the HP Pavilion dv6.

The Asus N51V is an excellent mid-sized laptop, and should absolutely be considered if you're looking for that price/performance sweet spot.

Great for the first year down hill afterwards

 

Good machine over all, Asus is still stellar in my mind.

Big, powerful,a great mix of hardware to game, DJ, and still do school work. ASUS tech support is amazing

Fried after a year no warning, lost everything I was working on that week. First time they replaced the Motherboard, video card, video card fan. The second time the computer died they replaced the keyboard, touchpad, video card. Windows Vista-Win7...

Well i have had this laptop for a week now. Its been great so far. For gaming, it is great for its price, however the keyboard is very weird. I would recommend this laptop to everyone. However the system doesnt come with Window 7 and the ram is only 4...

Great Laptop, few cons though.

 

Shipping was good for me, although its been bad for some people. My shipping took 5 days, for about 500km, over the US border & customs. Newegg takes care of that though. Overall I believe that this is a good computer, and should keep me up to date...

Good laptop for the price

 

I find the Asus designed cooling for this laptop to be pretty good. I run various BOINC DC projects and this keeps the processor at 100% load and Asus's cooling solution keeps the processor at around 60 C max. And this is pretty darn good compared to...

Good price/performance ratio. Fast processor and comes with 4 gigs of DDR2800 ram. Dedicated video subsystem instead of integrated junk makes it game decently. Built-in keypad makes inputting numbers in spreadsheets much easier. Built-in Bluetooth...

Premium" sound pretty much sucks, like has been stated in other reviews here. It's not bad with headphones but don't expect much volume or fidelity from the onboard speakers. My previous E1705 had much better sound quality and volume. 32 bit Vista...

Fast, good service, Win 7

 

This is faster than my wife's AMD Athlon 64 6000+ based desktop.

ASUS service fixed the bad NVIDIA 240M graphics on my unit. Paid for FedEx both ways, got it back to me in a little over a week ; I've installed a 500 GB hard disk, and updated it to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. It gets a 6.4 on the Windows Experience rating....

Finish is shiny, and shows fingerprints
