Asus ROG G752 review

The Asus G752 takes the compromise out of mobile gaming

The Asus G752 is the most dramatic design revision we’ve seen from the company’s gaming division in the last five years, and the results are mixed. The new silver-and-bronze scheme is unique, and will likely serve the company well in the future....

Asus ROG G752VT-DH72 Review

The Asus ROG G752VT-DH72 is a big, powerful gaming laptop that's priced well relative to its features and performance. It's not the fastest system in the category, but it's affordable and lets you plays demanding games smoothly.

Asus G752 review: A slightly slimmed gaming giant

A little lighter and sleeker, the Asus G752 is still a workhorse PC gaming laptop.

The Asus G752 is a little slimmer than its predecessor, and its new design lightens up the previous black slab look. Performance is excellent, and a backlit keyboard with macro keys makes for comfortable gaming.

Despite the refresh, this still looks like something that lives in a dorm room or LAN party basement. Even some of the more expensive configurations drop the graphics card a notch. No touch screen or higher-res options.

Asus carries its Republic of Gamers line forward with a modern-feeling overhaul, but the new Intel processors in the G752 are matched with graphics cards more than a year old.

Asus ROG G752VT Notebook Review

Silent beast. The latest revision in the signature G series takes a small step forward, though not the leap we were all hoping. We detail how the G752 is an improvement over the G751 and how competing models are starting to fly past the popular Asus G...

low surface temperatures, low fan noise, great case quality, flashier aesthetic redesign, USB 3.1 Type-C Gen. 2 with Thunderbolt 3, good keyboard and touchpad, bright display with G-sync standard, 4x storage bays, easy access to M.2 SSDs, 2.5-inch bay,...

no improvements to keyboard, touchpad, or case quality over previous generation, smaller capacity battery; shorter battery life, no support for RAID 0, difficult to access motherboard, non-upgradeable CPU and GPU, no graphics switching, large...

ROG notebooks have always been a recommended buy for their quality hardware and active fanbase of owners. The capstone G750 series may be large and heavy, but fan noise is always very low as a result. Asus has capitalized on this advantage even further...

Xotic PC Asus G752VY Notebook Review

Vapor cooler. After recently checking out the "entry-level" configuration with the G752VT, it's now time to move up to the G752VY with Asus' vaunted vapor cooling solution. Is this really a revolution for notebooks or just another empty marketing term?

quiet for a gaming notebook, vapor chamber cooling shows potential for higher configuration levels, relatively low core temperatures when under load

heavy at almost 10 pounds with a thicker build, fans are not necessarily any quieter from using the vapor cooler, GTX 980M with 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM instead of 8 GB GDDR5 VRAM, more difficult maintenance, costly

Even from our short time with the G752VY, it's clear that the vapor chamber was designed for enthusiasts and configurations even more powerful than our i7-6700HQ and GTX 980M. Temperatures on the G752VY are about the same if not lower than on the...
