Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 review: AMD and Nvidia at their best

ROG you like a hurricane.

Great gaming performance for the price ; All-day battery life ; Good audio ; Lightweight and portable

No webcam ; Partially soldered RAM ; Not the fastest gaming screen you can get

Asus’ ROG Zephyrus G15 is a fantastic gaming laptop. Powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HS and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3070, it can handle even the most demanding games at QHD resolution.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502DU (Ryzen 7 3750H, GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q) Laptop Review

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. The Zephyrus G GA502DU wants to redefine what a budget gaming laptop should be. Its rare pairing of an AMD H-series CPU with an Nvidia GeForce Max-Q GPU is something we wish could have happened years ago. It...

Some corners had to be cut in order to offer both top notch looks and performance at an affordable level: The display is dimmer than most, color space is narrow, ghosting is more noticeable, both M.2 2280 NVMe slots are half-speed, there is no...

Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 review: Beautiful design and powerful performance

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 price in India starts at Rs 1,37,990 but, the top-end variant I have costs Rs 1,46,990. It's time to look at things in detail and tell you what makes the ROG Zephyrus G15 a powerful machine.

Great performance ; Excellent display ; Beautiful design ; Decent battery life ; Good cooling system

No webcam ; Average audio output

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA502IV (2020) review – same look different hardware

For a short period of time, this is the second time that we are reviewing an ASUS Zen 2 laptop with a powerful 8-core Ryzen CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q. The first one was the ASUS ROG Zep…

The laptop is snappy and it supports Wi-Fi 6;8GB/16GB of soldered memory plus one RAM SODIMM slot supporting 3200 MHz memory in dual-channel and dual NVMe drive support; The display is PWM-free above 35% brightness (and the frequency of the flickers is...

Lacks an SD card reader and Thunderbolt support; The laptop gets pretty hot and loud during heavy loads (and the CPU freq drops to 2.72 GHz);The keyboard has no NumberPad

ASUS ROG Zephyrus GA502 review (Ryzen 7 3750H + GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q) – hope this doesn’t disappoint

Everybody is talking about ASUS and their new ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15 that accommodate the latest AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor. While we will get our hands on them eventually, why not spice the th…

Doesn’t use PWM to adjust screen brightness (Sharp LM156LF-GL03 (NCP0036));Relatively low price;dual M.2 NVMe drives (although only PCIe x2 speeds are supported);Good battery life;120Hz IPS display options

Poor cooling, resulting in high temperatures and noise levels;Shallow color coverage (Sharp LM156LF-GL03 (NCP0036));Lacks an SD card reader; Our unit had issues with the performance;Occasional coil whine

Asus ROG Zephyrus G (GA502) Review

While Intel is dominating the market with their Core series processors, AMD is catching up with their Ryzen chipset. Most of the computers I've tested have been powered by an Intel processor, even the gaming machines. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G (GA502) is...

Portable design ; AMD Chip and an Nvidia GPU is a great combo ; Good gaming performance ; Easy to use keyboard ; Fairly loud speakers ; Good battery life

Very dim screen (can’t get that bright) ; No webcam or fingerprint sensor ; Runs fairly warm ; Okay trackpad

Overall, the ROG Zephyrus G is a solid gaming laptop that can play most games with many issues, while keeping a relatively slim form factor.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 Gaming Laptop Review: AMD and Nvidia in One Machine

You don't see too many flagship AMD-based gaming laptops. It's a fact of the market. But with the Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502, Zen+ gets its time to shine. In an unholy matrimony, Asus has paired a Ryzen 7 3750H with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. While...

Sleek chassis Plays most games well Loud speakers

Dim display No webcam Some RAM soldered down

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 is a good value, with solid performance and better battery life than some Intel-based counterparts. But it has a dim display and no webcam.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 review: Smart, powerful and light

Smart, powerful, compact and light – the Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 is the perfect gaming laptop for grown-ups

Strong performance ; Light and compact ; Good display and audio system

Not cheap with top specification ; No numeric keypad ; No webcam or fingerprint scanner

It's hard to pick holes – serious or otherwise – in the Asus Zephyrus G15. The only improvements I would make would be the addition of a biometric webcam and a fingerprint scanner.

Read the in depth Review of Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 Laptops. Know detailed info about Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 configuration, design and performance quality along with pros & cons, Digit rating, verdict based on user opinions/feedback.

Noteworthy performance ; Comfortable keyboard ; Surprisingly good audio

Noisy fans can distract ; Display could use more colour ; No inbuilt webcam

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 is a cheaper alternative to its Intel Core i7-powered counterpart, the Zephyrus M GU502. Get it if you’re willing to overlook some less-than-obvious losses in overall performance and display quality.
