Asus VivoBook X405 (14-Inch, 2017)

Bought this laptop for uni, its ideal for it. Fast, reliable, light weight, battery life is good. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking to buy one that is not to expensive.

HD display is excellent. It’s so light you barely notice you’re carrying it. The SSD boots up in seconds without a noise. Great laptop!

Only real bad thing is the SSD could be a double the size for a few extra pounds! Although you are able to add your own HDD for storing any data

Fast booting and switch off.

Touch pad too sensitive.

The mouse is horrible, it is uncontrollable you only have to move it slightly and its on another page

Not enough storage

Brilliant screen (only on the red and gold models). Light weight and fast boot up. Added a sandisk 128gb mini usb storage stick, now have 250 gb. Great for me.

No caps lock light. Could be a little flimsy for rough users.

Stopped working within 6 months. Asus support useless.

Nice sharp screen (if you buy yhe red or gold versions - only ones with full hd), lightweight, fast boot up. Good value. Performance seems good so far, but no doubt will slow a bit as we install more stuff!

Nothing so far

Very fast, lightweight and thin. Holds the charge for a good 8 hours and is very easy to install.

A bit smaller than I am use to, but as I use it for script writing I just increase the screen size to 120% .
