Asus W3J 14-inch Centrino Duo laptop reviewed

It might not be as fancy as the high-class Lamborghinis our pals at Engadget Chinese saw at Computex, but according to this review, the 14-inch Centrino Duo W3J is a winner. Weighing in around 4-pounds, it fits right into the ultra-portable category,...

Asus W3J+ Review (pics, specs)

The Asus W3J is Asus' premiere high-performance 14" widescreen portable notebook (as opposed to a desktop replacement). This review is for the newer W3J model number W3J-H026P, sometimes referred to as the W3J+ as it has a faster Core Duo processor and...

Asus W3J - 14in Dual-Core Notebook

With a dual-core CPU, a gaming graphics chip, a 14in widescreen display and not too much weight, the W3J has one of the most balanced specifications around.

Absolutely perfect

Stop looking at it and buy it!

I'm in love with this laptop. Runs games like Quake 4, Oblivion, F.E.A.R, and Company Of Heroes at max settings flawlessly. Plays movies without any skips. Blazing fast. Wireless and bluetooth connections work on first attempt. Just a beautiful laptop...

Viewing angles on the LCD aren't so good and the default color settings are poor, but utilizing ATI's Catalyst Control Center color settings fixed that problem ; Runs a bit hot, nothing a Targus cooling pad didn't fix ; I upgraded to 2gb ram

Awesome All around

So far, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The build-quality is unbeatable and the specs are top-notch. Though I paid a bit more than a Dell or HP with comparable specs, I'm confident everything from the support to the build quality more than make...

Great look, great performance (I upgraded mine to T7200) and extremely solid construction

Fn key and Ctrl key switched, location of some ports (Kensington lock port and a USB port overlap, how easily the buttons which line the laptop are to hit while moving it

Cheap, works

Didn't order through Newegg as it wasn't available at the time. My W3J is from the first batch of 1.86GHz Yonah, 2x512MB DDR2 667. All in all, a great laptop, very nice design.

Awesome screen, love how they squeezed a MR X1600 into this small package. 2149 in 3dMark06 with the latest ATI (6.8) drivers. Hotkeys are nice for WMP control and on the other side with the wireless/touchpad/etc. Lightweight for something of this...

Media hotkeys only control AsusDVD and WMP, they cannot easily be changed to other programs. RAM could be an issue if you ever want to upgrade since you may have to remove the keyboard to access one slot

Great notebook, very fast and beautiful looking

No webcam, gets hot, no DVI port, no finger print scanner, a little expensive

AMAZING LAPTOP

Don't mind the cons too much. This laptop is fast and too sexy to be true. =P One of my friends already ordered it after he saw mine...do the same (or wait until they come out with the W3J with the Core 2 Duo processor)! You won't regret it.

I loooove this laptop. Incredibly sturdy construction, with a ton of firepower inside. Will go through ANYTHING. Brushed aluminum chassis is strong and stylish, lighted accents perfect. Fully-spaced keyboard has nice key travel. Touchpad is...

The glossy screen is great for videos and games...but not so great in bright light (this is normal for glossy screens). It also get smudged/dusty very quickly, and this laptop is just so nice that any imperfection seems like a tragic emergency. The...
