Great Deal

As a note, this model comes with 32-bit Vista, so technically only 3 gigs of ram will be available to you unless you upgrade to 64-bit Vista yourself or to Windows 7 later in the year.

This is a great value for the money. The specs every state that it is a WXGA screen, but the unit I had actually came with a screen res of 1440 x 900, making it a WXGA+ screen. I don't know if it was a mistake but it's one that I think is great. The...

There is a slight bit of keyboard flex on the top right-most delete key, and a little bit of light leakage at the bottom of the LCD when the screen is all black, but those are extremely minor qualms

great laptop

more than I expected for the price and it's an ASUS, the bag that comes with it is pretty sweet, this is a good laptop but I would not expect it to play newer games very well, but is good for older games, internet and all other PC use

runs vista great after removing some bloatware far less than other oem's screen looks great, business style laptop clean looking no fancy colors. t5800 4gb ram,512mb dedicated vram, runs rfactor at max settings. all drivers for xp are on the asus site

no 64 bit os, only use 3 of 4 gigs, dvd drive is a little slow and noisy, not enough to take off an egg, provided media doesn't allow for custom partition sizes, just a 60/40 split, you can use a 3rd arty tool to get it partitioned to your liking

Great price

I almost thought about giving this laptop 4 eggs because its not perfect but then I remembered 2 things. 1. I am kind of comparing to my desktop that I BUILT (thus cheaper than buying from a computer maker) for $1300 and 2. This thing is $800! Well...

Awesome laptop for the price. It plays games pretty well I've been playing half life 2 on it and it runs almost perfectly (choppy very rarely but can barely complain). I definitely wouldn't run crysis or something like that on it but if you wanted to...

My only complaint is that I have now gotten train tracks twice. Just instantly out of the blue. I think its that it was on my lap and my knees were covering up the heat port and it overheated. Basically watch that back port because it is its main...
