Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UA review: A thin, light, and peppy budget laptop with battery life to spare

The Asus ZenBook 13 is just the ticket for productivity on a budget. It shines when it comes to everyday computing chores, and its battery keeps going and going.

Thin and light shell ; Solid productivity performance ; Comfy keyboard ; Great battery life

Dim, non touch-sensitive display ; So-so performance during lengthy CPU-intensive tasks ; No discrete graphics for gaming

The Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UA is a thin, light, budget-minded laptop with a spring in its step when it comes to everyday computing tasks, and it’s got all-day battery life to boot. Its integrated graphics can’t compete with laptops that have discrete...

Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN review: An ultraportable laptop with a knack for gaming

The $1,000 ZenBook 13 makes for a compelling ultraportable laptop, particularly for productivity-minded users with a taste for casual gaming.

Slim and light design ; Great keyboard ; Discrete graphics core for smooth 720p e-sports gaming ; Impressive battery life

Fingerprint-prone lid ; Not the fastest quad-core performance in its class ; Finicky fingerprint reader

With its enviable combination of peppy performance, slim design, long battery life and a discrete graphics chip, the $1,000 ZenBook 13 makes for a compelling ultraportable, particularly for productivity-minded users with a taste for casual gaming.

ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331UA (i7-8550, GeForce MX150, SSD, FHD) Laptop Review

Powerful long runner. The ZenBook 13 does not lack in power. ASUS has equipped the slim Ultrabook with a quad-core processor and a dedicated graphics card. Coupled with that is a quick SSD, long battery life and a good display. Nevertheless, the...

IPS display ; Full-HD display ; stylish metal case ; powerful ; rarely gets warm ; good battery life

CPU throttles on battery ; significant Turbo Boost fluctuations at full load ; GPU is factory underclocked ; loud under load ; no Thunderbolt 3 ; no NVMe-SSD

The ASUS ZenBook 13 scores highly by fitting both a powerful CPU and GPU into a compact chassis. This comes at a cost though, as the case dimensions precluded ASUS from including a cooling system that could adequately cool the device. Among other...

Asus ZenBook 13 review

A shiny cover brings all the Windows fans to the yard

Decent battery life ; Fast fingerprint sensor ; Stellar display

Janky touchpad ; HDMI port should be USB-C ; Shell is a smudge magnet

The latest ZenBook 13 from Asus isn’t a speed demon, but it has a killer display and a keyboard that’s as smooth as butter. Plus, it finally addresses a key bugbear in Asus’s laptop design.
