Asus Zenbook A14 Review: A Super Lightweight Laptop

Asus' Ceraluminum machine is one of the lightest 14-inch laptops we've ever tested.

Lightest laptop in its category ever. Best battery life we’ve ever seen. Impressive usability. Dead silent.

Bare-bones CPU doesn’t provide impressive performance. Pricier than expected for an erstwhile entry-level laptop.

Asus Zenbook A14 laptop review - The 14-inch OLED subnotebook with a Snapdragon X only weighs 978 grams

Notebookcheck has tested the brand-new Asus Zenbook A14 with the Snapdragon X1-26-100, a Ceraluminum case, 32 GB RAM and 1080p OLED. The new Asus Zenbook A14's focus lies on creating the lowest possible weight and its result of less than one kilogram...

stable and robust case;good battery life;accurate color profiles;USB 4.0 & USB-A;very quiet during simple applications;good ClickPad

PWM flickering;RAM can't be expanded;overall poor performance of the Snapdragon X;no Wi-Fi 7 on base model;OLED only at 60 Hz

The new Asus Zenbook A14's focus lies on creating the lowest possible weight and its result of less than one kilogram is impressive for a 14-inch device—especially considering its relatively low entry-level price. Its new Ceraluminum case material also...

This Asus laptop looks unassuming, but it has a powerful feature that professionals will love

Asus' Vivobook Pro 15 from last year is a powerful laptop thanks to its solid performance, hi-res display, and extra touches made with pros in mind.

I recommend the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 to content creators or graphic designers who want a well-performing, relatively inexpensive work machine. The model starts at $1,299; however, at the time of this writing, it's currently going for $1,049. Another...

This ultraportable Asus laptop gives the M4 MacBook Air a run for its money - and it looks great

Asus' Zenbook A14 is a lightweight 2.1-pound laptop with a stunning OLED display and impressive multi-day battery life. However, its standout feature is its design.

The Zenbook A14 has a coherent identity: it's a lightweight, aesthetic machine for the modern professional, effortlessly mobile in both form factor and battery life, but trades some raw power for all that endurance. That being said, the Snapdragon X...

I tested the ultralight Asus laptop everyone's been talking about - it lives up to the hype

Asus' Zenbook A14 is a well-balanced 2.1-pound laptop with a gorgeous OLED display and multi-day battery. But its best feature lies in its design.

Why I recommend this ultraportable Windows laptop over the MacBook Air - and it's cheaper

Balancing innovation and value, the Asus Zenbook A14 brings an OLED display and marathon battery to a 2.1-pound form factor for $899.

ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407) review – Thin, Light, and Mighty

We are impressed by the Zenbook A14 (UX3407). Its main tricks up in its sleeve are the low weight, the thin profile, and the overall performance that is ideal for home or office work. No matter the compact dimensions, the 12-core X Elite X1E-78-100...

Great OLED display with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage (SDC420D) ; Infinite contrast ratio (SDC420D) ; 603 nits in HDR and 391 nits max brightness in SDR mode (SDC420D) ; Superb color accuracy (SDC420D) ; Outstanding 3D rendering performance, especially...

92°C CPU temperature in medium loads ; Only one M.2 slot + soldered memory ; No fingerprint reader ; The Wi-Fi 7 connectivity is reserved only for the top-end SoC model

The ASUS Zenbook Air- sorry, A14, is out, and we've tested it

The MacBook Air has a new rival, and it's a good-looking one indeed...

Thin and light ; OLED screen ; Impressive CPU

Low GPU power ; Not cheap enough

The allure of the thin and light laptop is that you can take it anywhere, and do anything. You know you’re going to pay a slight price in terms of processing power if you leave the gaming PC or MacBook Pro at home, but the tradeoff is usually worth it....

I wanted the Asus Zenbook A14 to crush the MacBook Air, but it’s complicated — here’s why

I was ready to ditch my MacBook Air for Asus Zenbook A14, but then reality hit

Insanely thin and light ; Premium aesthetic in the hand ; Gorgeous OLED display ; Bonkers battery life ; Wi-Fi 7

Snapdragon X underwhelms ; $1,099 is too much for what you get

The Asus Zenbook A14 had one job — beat the MacBook Air. In some areas, it absolutely does, with a gorgeous OLED display and insane battery life packed into an impossibly thin and light notebook. But Snapdragon X disappoints in day-to-day performance,...

Asus Zenbook A14 review: ideal for frequent travellers

Want a lightweight Windows laptop? Asus might have the perfect answer

Charming Cerulminum finish, Sub-1kg weight appeal, Super-long battery life

Ceramic finish is not that hard-wearing, Mediocre performance for the cash, Mega stamina given the spec

Pure portability bliss for the frequent traveller. But the Asus Zenbook A14’s screen and performance don’t reach the same heights as its portability win, so make sure you make peace with that before buying.
