great little laptop

Overall a good laptop for the price.

It's light and small with a full set of features. It has a dvd burner, decent amount of ram, and a fairly fast processor ; The screen, although small, is crisp and beautiful ; The soundcard is way better than I expected a laptop to have. The rca jacks...

Weak battery life: Up to 2 hours ; Small screen

nice laptop

This laptop is great… for the price. The screen is very clear and crisp. It's pretty fast and portable. I bought this computer to write papers and bring to school but it can handle more than that

It hardly came with anything. It didn't have word. So I rebooted the comp and installed xp pro, and office

Good laptop for the price.

I haven't tried the included Backup/Restore software by Phoenix Technologies, but it looks promising. It apperenlty allows you to create backup CD/DVDs! BTW, I urge every reviewers here to send there feedback to Averatec too.

Price, size, weight, features and performance. The screen and speakers are quite nice. Included Cyberlink bundle is good too

Gets quite hot, be careful ; Battery life is about 2 hours ; The color scheme sucks (white with silver keyboard!). Should have been black with silver keyboard ; The keyboard layout is not comfortable to use (especially the PgUp-PgDn-Home-End keys) ;...

Very nice unit overall. I would recommend it, and am happy with my choice.

Size, screen, DVD burner, well built. Very light and portable. Speakers, although small, put out decent sound. Nero has listed this DVD burner as 8x, but I don't think it runs that fast (takes about 25 minutes to burn a 4.7 gig DVD). I love this...

Only thing I've found lacking so far is battery life. Length is about 2 hours. Considering the size of this unit, that's to be expected. Also, runs a little hot

Very good entry level light & thin laptop!

It came preinstalled with XP Home 32bit. I found that odd, considering it boasts a 64bit processor, so I installed XP Pro x64 on it. The averatec website does not have the 64 bit drivers for the laptop, so you need to go to the MSI website (the...

Laptop came and started up like a champ. The widescreen LCD is rather impressive, esspecially with the "no glare" technology. I didn't buy this laptop to replace or even substitute for my desktop, so it is out-performing my expectations in that regard...

The "cons" are minor, and thus, did not affect my rating of the product; but things that a few may want to know ; The DVD drive is perhaps the loudest thing on the computer. Insert a disc and prepare to experience dual-shock on your lap. Performance of...
