Averatec C3500 convertible notebook review: Averatec C3500 convertible notebook

Averatec C3500 convertible notebook

Affordable; attractive case design; optical drive; four USB ports.

Slow performance; short battery life; heavy for a tablet.

The affordable, versatile Averatec C3500 features an optical drive and a decently sized screen but suffers from inferior battery life and performance.

Averatec C3500- Windows XP Tablet Notebook Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

Editor's rating (1-5): Discuss this product Where to Buy

Nicely built machine that feels solid and can take some bumps in the backpack. A nice display that has a wide viewing angle by tablet standards and contrasty screen

The machine runs unusually hot. The battery life is short compared to other tablets even though battery capacity is good. The digitizer isn't the Wacom technology found on most other tablets and you'll find less application support for pressure...

A very nice tablet in a reasonably compact package at a very affordable price. For shoppers on tight budget and students who want to get into XP Tablets, the Averatec offers the lowest price.

AVERATEC C3500

Cheap, good screen

Heavy, poor battery life

As a fully-fledged Tablet PC, the Averatec C3500 proves, to some degree, that you get what you pay for. The poor battery life and sluggish performance attest to that. However, as a budget priced laptop that can be used occasionally in slate mode, users...

Good buy - but I'm already replacing it.

I do tech support for Dr.'s so I needed to test a tablet pc. The price was very reasonable for this tablet. I've only had it a year and a half and I'm going to replace it. The good news is I'm going to replace it with another Averatec. I'm going for ...

Price, configuration, decent screen

Slow keyboard, weight and heat. Low battery life.

Doesn't go the Distance

Not enough to offset the lack of battery.

Batteries burn out quickly. Many vendors won't even carry the battery anymore.
