Nice laptop for under $250

I went to wal- mart to buy a cheap laptop picked the compaq for $299, both salesman rippede on the compaq and pushed the Toshiba 6550 for $328. Toshiba died after 4th day , tech support non existant, told to return to wal mart. My brother is an expert...

Well made, good battery life. terrific tech support! Good basic laptop

Out of the box would not connect to my Wi Fi, after an hour on phone with tech support, tech found it had the wrong driver installed, installed new driver , works great now

Battery life excellent / ok performance

Ended up getting a different Compaq CQ57 that had the AMD E-300 cpu and Radeon 6310 graphics. The E-300 or E-450 are much better suited for gaming and will both run SWTOR at minimum settings. I'd recommend looking at a different version of the CQ57...

Superb battery life - actual real world web browsing life at 9 hours. Graphics side of the APU performs really well for what it is

The CPU side of the APU is what holds this machine back. The C-50/60 it is sufficient for web browsing and office applications. Don't expect gaming performance. The E-300 or E-450 are better suited for gaming tasks

Great little laptop

Had this laptop bout 2 weeks now, and it does exactly what i want to do. Lovely clear display, fast processor, only problem i had was that it kept losing wi fi connection, but i think its been solved since i did all updates
