Review: HP Pavilion tx2000z Tablet PC

HP's tx2000z is something that we don't actually see a whole lot of: a tablet designed for home users. Despite having been around for a few years now, tablet PCs have grown a more secure foothold in the business segment than the home one. We still see...

HP tx2500z Review

As the 2008 – 2009 school year approaches you'll probably find yourself shopping around for a notebook and having one that functions as a Tablet PC is certainly an added bonus and well worth considering.

HP Pavilion tx2500 Review

The tx2500 has a solid chassis and design. The overall design is the same as the tx2000, with the glossy "Echo" imprint finish which extends onto the silver keyboard. It has a very sleek appearance, but be careful it is a fingerprint magnet

Inexpensive ; Touchscreen and active digitizer ; Entertainment features ; Solid design ; Improved GPU

Washed out display that can be very reflective ; Heat output, when over working

Overall I am impressed with the tx2500. The updated AMD Puma processor and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics are a big plus. Web pages render faster and surfing the Web is a breeze. Even though our tx2500 had some problems with the integrated graphics it...

HP Pavilion tx2500 User Review

This is available at Circuit City for $1,100. It is interesting to note that a similar configuration direct from HP costs $1,279

Retained Wacom digitizer from tx2000 ; Vastly improved GPU ; Stylish Design ; Roomy Keyboard ; Native DVD Player Support ; Low price point

Washed out screen associated with passive digitizer ; Poor quality  hardware buttons throughout ; High heat output ; Low speaker volume

The tx2500 sets a benchmark high for Tablet PC gaming and 3D performance. The new Puma architecture improves on many of the issues raised with the original tx2000 including a new GPU and a decrease in heat production. Many of the positive points...

HP Pavilion tx2500 First Look Review

Clearly the tx2500 inherits the design elements of its predecessor, the tx2000. The tx2500 has a high-gloss HP Imprint Finish, same as the tx2000 series called the "Echo" Imprint Finish. Like its predecessor the lid is glossy black, and it has the Echo...

Our first impressions of the new tx2500 are positive. HP continues to demonstrate their commitment to making feature-rich, consumer-friendly tablets at reasonable prices. With back-to-school shopping just a few months away, it's a safe bet the tx2500...

The HP Pavilion tx2000 is a small Windows Vista laptop PC that can be turned into a Tablet PC by twisting the display around, and directly tapping the screen with fingers or with a pen.

HP Pavilion tx2600 (tx2613AU_01)

The Pavilion tx2600 (tx2613AU_01) is the latest addition to HP's stable of tablet notebooks. It's sleek, portable and has good connectivity options, but it suffers from a slow CPU and is outclassed by its predecessor and competitors.

Light, attractive design, excellent network connectivity and expansion ports ;

Low battery life, slow processor, gets hot after moderate usage, requires re-calibration after each screen rotation ;

Sadly, this notebook doesn't offer enough to users to be highly recommended. While it provides more storage and RAM than the Fujitsu T1010, it falls short on performance and screen size. If you're looking for a small tablet notebook that's light to...

HP Pavilion tx2522au (FK677PA)

Style and ease of use are hallmarks of the 12.1in HP tx2522, and it also has adequate processing power. It's pitched at home users who require the functionality of a tablet, but without the exorbitant price tag most tablets command. But its battery...

Accurate and responsive tablet functionality, reasonably priced, big keys ;

Standard battery life is poor ;

In the end, decent performance, good ease of use and accurate tablet functionality are let down by very poor life away from an outlet. If you want it to last you more than an hour while on the road, the only option is to invest in spare batteries
