Dell Latitude 13 Education Series (3340)

The Dell Latitude 13 Education Series is a tough desktop-replacement laptop with a battery that lasts 10 hours. It should be on the top of your shopping list for the upcoming back-to-school season.

Rugged construction. Designed for school use. Full set of ports. Touch screen. Removable battery. Status light on top of lid. 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Anti-glare screen.

Basic 1,366-by-768 resolution. SSD and hybrid drive systems boot faster.

The Dell Latitude 13 Education Series should certainly be on your short list when shopping for a moderately priced laptop for your K-12 student. Other systems may have faster processors or more memory, but the Latitude 13 Education has a ten-hour...

Dell Latitude 13 Education Series 3340: The perfect notebook for school use [Review]

If you're specifying a notebook for your kids or your school, the attractive world of ultra-portables probably won't be top of your list of possibilities. Robustness, durability and value are far more likely to be your chief considerations. Dell's...

The Dell Latitude 3340 is not a notebook you will long to own for its sense of style. However, its tough design, incredible battery life and reasonable price make it a great option for the intended educational market. We would have liked to see options...

Dell Latitude 3340 review

The laptop is actually found within the Business section of Dell's site, and its on-site support and choice of operating systems mean that the Latitude 3340 may appeal to some business users that want a budget laptop for office work.

It may not be the most stylish laptop around, and the viewing angles of its screen have room for improvement, but the Latitude 3340 provides good value for money. Its application performance and battery life are as good as you'll get for less than...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

A good little laptop.

Giving another choice, I would have chosen another laptop but I'm picky. I mainly bought it for it's small size and for playing around with Linux. Ubuntu, openSUSE and Slackware all loaded fine although with some work (GPT HD, UEFI bootloader and...

Very good battery life. I get about 6 hours of use on a charge. Small profile and screen has no wobble. Touchpad buttons are very quiet. I'm glad for the dedicated touchpad button. I don't care for the touchpad click.

Screen is matte which I wanted but is not very easy to read. The screen has a narrow viewable angle where it is glare free. There is a small protusion on the bottom of the laptop for the battery. The laptop gets quite warm (on it's left side) during...
