Alienware 17 (2016)

Alienware's new high-end gaming laptop, the Alienware 17, packs powerful hardware and innovative features in a (relatively) slim, portable, and stylish package.

Powerful processing and graphics hardware. Attractive, efficient redesign compared with earlier Alienware laptops. Eye-tracking option allows for futuristic personalization.

Top-end configurations will probably be expensive.

The Alienware 17 will be available from September 30. Although Alienware has not yet announced how much it will cost to get one of these for your own, we're guessing it will start at about $1,499—pricing comparable to that of the current version of the...

Alienware Area-51 m9750

Alienware takes the gaming crown by serving up the Area-51 m9750, a fast and design-worthy gaming laptop.

SLI-enabled graphics. Dual 160GB hard drives rated at 7,200 rpm. 1,920-by-1,200 resolution. Awesome gaming performance. Home theater connectivity ports. Stealth Black is in vogue.

Mouse buttons need work. Price tag is fair but can turn you away.

Alienware 17 R4 review

A much-needed makeover to the biggest Alienware laptop

Wildly powerful ; Swanky looks ; Lots of configuration options

Obnoxiously loud fans ; So-so battery life

Sporting a more powerful processor, cool looks and a strong range of prices, the Alienware 17 R4 may be your best bet if on the prowl for a 17-inch gaming laptop.

Alienware 17 (2016) review

This chunky, powerful and expensive gaming laptop isn't going to suit everyone, but the fact that you can spec it up to your liking means there should be something to suit just about every budget. Here's our Alienware 17 review

The Alienware 17 is one of the best gaming laptops money can buy. At this stage we just need to check out the relevant competition, the Asus G752, the Acer G9-791 and so on, to find out which will become our go-to recommendation for 2016 gamers with...
