Dell Inspiron 15 7000 7577 (i7-7700HQ, GTX 1060 Max-Q, 4K UHD) Laptop Review

4K overkill. We check out the popular 15.6-inch mainstream gaming notebook from Dell for a third time in yet another configuration. As impressive as the GTX 1060 Max-Q may be, it just isn't the best GPU for 4K gaming.

brighter display and more accurate colors than FHD SKU ; no CPU or GPU throttling when gaming ; relatively cool running temperatures ; fingerprint-enabled Power button ; quiet under low processing loads ; strong base chassis ; easy serviceability ;...

4K UHD gaming demands more powerful hardware than the GTX 1060 Max-Q ; keyboard keys and trackpad have weak feedback ; lid could be more rigid ; heavy for the size

For gaming purposes, a native 4K UHD panel is not the perfect fit for a system powered by the GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU. Unless if the notebook will be used exclusively for large spreadsheet work or undemanding games like Rocket League, LoL, Overwatch, or...

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 7577 (i5-7300HQ, GTX 1050, 1080p) Laptop Review

With the handbrake on! After testing the Inspiron 15 with Nvidia's Max-Q technology, we have now also taken a look at the entry-level model of the series. But the storage device leaves a bit of a bad taste in our mouth.

IPS display with stable viewing angles ; GeForce GTX 1050 with 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM ; acceptable core temperatures while gaming ; no throttling on power supply ; stable base unit ; low starting price ; Thunderbolt 3 ; generously dimensioned maintenance...

reduced performance when running on battery ; wobbly display cover, easily warped ; low display brightness ; low color-space coverage ; unclear keyboard feedback, limited travel ; very slow card reader ; no G-Sync option

Dell has made a lot of good choices with the Inspiron 15 7000 7577 and combines suitability for gaming with a long-lasting battery. The device is made of well-known components such as the Intel Core i5-7300HQ, which still has some life left in it. The...

Dell Inspiron 15 7577 (GTX 1060 Max-Q) review – improved but still flawed

Although the previous generation of the Inspiron 15 7000-series, the Inspiron 15 7567, obviously had some issues of its own and the lack of an IPS panel being the biggest one, it was received by th…

Rigid base, solid feel;Plenty of I/O including USB-C Thunderbolt 3;The screen doesn’t use PWM across all brightness levels;Effective cooling solution – keeps the internals running and the chassis mostly cool;Outstanding battery life

Unsatisfactory screen – low maximum brightness, limited sRGB coverage;Flimsy and clunky-looking lid;A bit hefty for 15-inch laptop with GTX 1060 Max-Q;Pricier than the competition with GTX 1060;Shallow and unoptimized for gaming keyboard, jumpy and...

Great gaming performance, robust exterior, fair price, good cooling fan

Screen little dim even on max brightness, cooling fan transfer heat to room temperature making room hot, flat keyboard design, sound not so good without speaker

Light but hard frame so that is a good point.

I am experiencing problem with mouse and dragging windows or suddenly web browser is shut down instantly without a reason. A bit disappointed in this, my previous cheaper laptop behaves better in relation this aspect.
