If price is no object and portability your premium, the Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010 laptop is a must-have.

2.2 pounds. 3/4-inch thick. Big hard drive. Multiple batteries included. 1GB of RAM.

No modem. Three-cell battery has short life. Cramped keyboard.

The Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010's performance is superior for an ultraportable, but its abysmal battery life, cramped keyboard, and sky-high price make the notebook a tough sell.

Eminently portable; powerful for an ultraportable; extremely long battery life with the upgraded six-cell battery; wide-screen display; fingerprint reader; multimedia controls; decent speakers.

Horrid battery life with standard three-cell battery; very expensive; small keyboard; no optical drive without a dock; no WWAN.

The Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010's keyboard is cramped, but its performance and battery life, with the extended battery, are superior for an ultraportable.

When mobility is more important than grunt, the Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010 is ideal. But it doesn't come cheap.

Tiny, Long battery life

Costly

There's no doubt this unit is ultraportable and it did well in our battery testing, but with a $5499 price tag it's just too expensive.

The price, poor battery life
