It has an amazing design, the laptop feels very sturdy and durable. NO FINGERPRINTS! it always look's good and clean ; 512 mb graphic card runs all games i want in almost the highest setings, it dosent get extremely hot and the i5 processor is amazing

the keyboard is a little fragile, the enter key in the numeric pad popped out of place but nothing to big of a deal, its fixable

Good as gold!

For the $$$ this Gateway laptop is worth its weight in gold! This is my first Newegg purchase. Shipping only took 2 days for standard shipping and the 12 months interest free preferred account was a breeze to set up. This was sweet b/c it added some...

Boots up extremely fast, the screen is phenomenal/sharp, thin profile, nice to have the number keypad as well. At this price point it's hard to find a laptop with 1/2 gig video card

I wish the speakers were louder like my old laptop (I made sure the computer volume was set at the highest level). The glossy parts tend to collect cat hair fast- I was looking for a laptop with a 7200 rpm HD at first, but for the price the 5400 rpm...

Great laptop for a great price

This laptop is just great for $700, other laptops with same specs will usually cost $1000. What a great deal!

The laptop is great for a great price! The specs I wanted for $700 is so worth every penny, decent graphic card to run most games at decent settings, 500gb hard drive is just unbelievable

No light switch for Cap locks

Best laptop I could find for the price

The only thing I regret is that when I bought mine, at the time gateway had another laptop almost exactly like this one on newegg, except the screen was 2 inches bigger and it had a Radeon HD 5650 instead of the 5470, and it was only 50 bucks more (750...

Pretty much all the specs about this laptop are pros, especially considering what you pay for it. Doesn't come with much bloatware. Dedicated gfx card. It works, really well

None that I can think of at the moment

There are no major flaws and all in all this laptop is the best deal out there right now. And I would definitely recommend it!!

It is just an awesome deal for $699.00 and everything about this laptop is a pro ; A dedicated GPU, 4 gigs of RAM, and 500 GB hard drive makes it a great laptop. Plus Intel i5 runs everything smoothly. The webcam works perfectly, and the multi gesture...

I'm not a big fan of the social button and there is space between keys which i don't like bec. sometimes lint and other small things can get caught in them

Awesome Mid-Range Gaming Laptop

Don't expect the 5470 to blaze through games at the highest settings. It does great with games that are a little older (i.e. Titan Quest, FEAR), but with games like L4D2, CODMW2, BF:BC2, and Fallout 3 don't expect 60 fps. I got 17 fps when I maxed out...

Great keyboard layout ; Discrete Graphics plays L4D2 at 60 fps @ 1280 x 720 with a couple of settings turned on (AA, Textures, Shadows) ; Core i5 with 4 Gigs of DDR3 ; Loaded up Kubunto 10.0.4 without a hitch. Had all drivers from the get go ; Slim for...

A little flimsy when it comes to structure

Can't beat it for this price

Would have been 5 stars if the trackpad wasn't so bad. For $700 I doubt you can beat this setup. I looked everywhere, and an equivalent Dell goes for about $1100.

An i5 at this price with a decent graphics card is a hard thing to beat! Runs Mass Effect well, and ME2 does OK if you don't max out the graphics. Steam's TF2 runs beautifully

The trackpad is TERRIBLE. But I use a wireless mouse, so it doesn't bother me much ; Has a tendency to get hot in long gaming runs. I bought a cooling pad to counter it and it does fine

very poor customer service

screen is good

very poor customer service. takes about 30 mins to get through, a simple software question, transferred to 4 different people, every one asked for SN number. The technnicians didn't understand English well. Finally NO solutions given at all , but...

The scratches everyone is talking about on the decorative bar above the keyboad? There is a protective film over that. It looks scratched with the film on, and it is hard to see the film. Look carefully and pull it off and no more scratches. =-O

Nice computer. Fast and affordable. At $700 this is a very good price for the specs I wanted

No complaints so far
