Great buy

Great deal. The computer runs perfectly smoothly. Graphics are decent but what do you expect from a integrated card? Plenty of RAM. Had to uninstall a lot of stuff. Web cam is decent. Processor gets hot but it's fairly quick. Best laptop you can get...

Speakers are not so great. Only 3 ports for USB. I wish there was one more. The notebook gets hot. I got a cooler. I highly recommend one. Windows Vista lol is a con

Pretty Good

This laptop was a great deal when I bought it. I see it for about 100 dollars cheaper now. The HDMI was the big selling point for me. I runs Ubuntu well except for the wireless drivers (see below)

Vista runs real slow on it. Even after tweaking the settings it was sluggish. Ubuntu fixed that. I had to use the Win98 drivers for the wireless card. That was odd. The screen is a finger print magnet. The speakers are totally useless. If I am watching...

Product was faulty

If you purchase this laptop and the display is distorted, fuzzy, discolored or blurry or the red and blacks are inverted, assume that it will need to be replaced and save yourself some time.

Seemed like a good deal at the time of purchase ; newegg has been great to deal with during the return process

Remains to be seen whether it will be a good purchase or not. Product arrived damaged, whether by shipping or production. Display was fuzzy, color was distorted. After a day with tech support, I RMA'D. Waiting on a replacment

Great Value

Definitely a great buy. I searched for a long time for the best deal. I am a college student who is living off of grants, student loans, and scholarships, and I was able to squeeze this laptop out of a local scholarship. It was most definitely the best...

This system provides more than enough processing power, with the powerful processor and 3GB RAM. The Radeon Graphics card is even compatible with many games (thanks to Windows Vista standard)

Typical Laptop speakers--I was spoiled with my last notebook, it had extreme speakers that could blast music and movies. If you are going to be using this for any hardcore movie, gaming, or music action I would say invest in a good pair of headphones ;...

Awesome Value

I bought this for my wife and she absolutely loves everything about it.

Lots of RAM, bright screen, heat is directed to one side of the laptop (instead of under the laptop like some models), fast start-up and so many extras it's hard to name them

the wireless adopter is kind of pain but if you know how to handle it then it's fine, and AMD processor gets hot but this is how AMD works

Fast and Stable Vista Notebook

It would be hard to beat the features you get with this notebook at the price. Gateway makes a great machine and have been in the business for a long time. The 64bit processor works great at the standard 32bit, but if you need 64bit, you got it with an...

Stable . . . . no choking down while running multiple applications thanks to 3gig Ram and Radeon graphics. You can output from a HDMI port to your HD Television for gaming or DVD (although, for movies it would make sense to use a standard DVD player,...

monitor is a little small, but more than enough for most notebook activities

Awesome...for me

I wanted something so i could take notes in class, and be powerful enough to handle some heavy processing, once you remove all the stuff that came with the laptop it is very efficient. can run multiple application at once without vista slowing down at...

Fastest and smallest 600-700 dollars you will spend. AMD dual core, 3 G of ram, Compact, excellent screen (very crisp and clean) video card is good, if you want to play games it will play Soldier of Fortune Double Helix with no problems along with...

Great Laptop

I highly recommend it. It's a great deal!

This is a great laptop! It has plenty of hard drive space, and it's super speedy! Before I bought it, I did a lot of research and got the stamps of approval from the IT director and others in the department before I bought it. I don't know very much...

The case is glossy making it easy to scratch. It comes with Vista Home Premium so I put Vista Ultimate, but these are nit-picky things

Great Deal

I was looking at the Asus eee but the price to goodness ratio had me buy this. All the Gateways I've worked on before (PCs) were garbage but, this one surprised me. Just dump the trial trash and other garbage and you have a wonderful laptop that will...

AMD goodness. 3GB memory. Nice paint job. Feels like a quality laptop. Loads and operates Vista pretty quick

Realtech wireless did not work. The touch mouse thingy is pretty irratating to use but, that doesn't bother me too much since I use a real mouse. Finger prints on shiny paint could bug some buyers. Turn the sound off to avoid being dissapointed by the...
