Terrible Experience.

I was happy with the computing power and even upgraded my ram from 8gb to 16gb. However at this point my experience has become a nightmare and I just want to get rid of the laptop.

For the first six months of owning this laptop there were only a few issues. Small issues that I could live with because they didn't affect my gaming. For the first six months, and I repeat the first six months this laptop was a very capable machine...

Well it says "2 year warranty" Gigabyte said my warranty ran out after I started having sound card issues. Now my so called smart screen button doesn't work anymore and also the plus and minus physical sound buttons don't work. Not to mention that...

Gigabroke

After 2 weeks of use the laptop died. Only a power light, with nothing else functioning. No monitor, HDD activity, BIOS...nothing. Sent it in for RMA and Gigabyte still has my laptop over a month later and they keep telling me the technician is...

Ran games nicely before it died

Paperweight, Gigabyte support is terrible

Overall Good Laptop but some issues

Despite some of the issues, I am still happy with this laptop overall. I don't know if there's some cover or method I can use to prevent the static discharge from occurring- since that's the biggest barrier right now to really being able to enjoy it,...

Great Graphics Card/Gaming experience ; CPU Speed also really good ; Color is definitely distinctive ; Very little bloatware ; Battery Life is actually pretty good for such a powerful laptop ; Great for the price (purchased on black Friday)

Wifi card often disconnects randomly or upon waking from sleep, and then computer doesn't recognize that it has a card until I restart it ; Power cord sometimes comes unplugged, sometimes I don't notice that it has until I get the low battery warning-...

Works like a champ

i got this for my brother circa 3 months ago. he doesnt use its battery, he just leaves it plugged in at home. he is a psych major and only games with it. for the same amount of money a tower wouldve been better, but i wanted to get him something for...

nice processor (i7-4710MQ) ; nice GPU (gtx 870M) ; 1tb HDD 7200 rpm (SSD hybrid wouldve been nice though) ; good thermal design ; giant black friday discount :D

small screen ; factory default refresh rate 40hz?? {adjust resolution>advanced properties>monitor and up the frequency to 60 ; heavy ; external display has input lag ; only 2 usb ports (but they are usb 3.0, so get a nice hub if you want to plug...

GIGABYTE P25Wv2-SP2 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4710MQ (2.50GHz) 8GB Memory 1TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M 3 GB GDDR5 15.6" Windows 8.1 64-Bit I was super anxious to get this, and was initially impressed with the screen & the aesthetic design. But was...

Great hardware Spec/$ ratio ; Great screen res & color ; Good aesthetic design (disregarding the yellow back) ; Backlit keyboard ; covered peripheral access

Real Cons ; Flimsy frame/build material ; loose power cord connection at the laptop ; no rubber stubs in the front bottom of laptop, only in back (which makes the laptop rotate left and right very easily ; Menial Cons ; slow HD speeds

Thats why its a cheap product

The fan noise is very high under load and the right side of the keyboard (which cpu&gpu lies beneath) gets very hot. I bought that for gaming and now I can not play any game more than 5 min due to loud fans. If you switch to stealth mode for fans, it...

Great specs: i7-4710mq, gtx870m, 7200rpm hdd, fhd screen with good viewing angles and brightness ; Good price. I purchased this one under $1000 and I think its the only machine with GTX870M you can buy at this price range

Constant overheating and extremely loud fans especially during gaming ; The worst wifi adapter I ever used. Disconnects all the time, sometimes you need to restart the machine to connect. And it even can not connect after waking up from sleep ; Static...

Good specs yet bad experience

Great specs: 4710MQ, GTX870M ; Highly upgradable: 2 eSATA port, 1x8G DDR3L rather than 2x4G ; Unbeatable Price

I thought that would be the best deal during the new year vacation when I received it from UPS, and was so eager to open the box ; Everything was great when I set it up, installed Win7 and played DOTA2. Just as I was about to give it a 5-star rate,...

Great Gaming Laptop For The Price

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Originally bought an Acer V15, but the bad spacebar made me RMA it. Decided to go with Gigabyte one instead. Glad I made the change. First thing I did was to add another stick of 8GB memory. It was so easy. Just 1...

Fast CPU ; Fast GPU ; Removal Battery ; Easy to Upgrade ; Most game runs smoothly including COD: Advanced warfare and Crysis 3

Gigabyte P25wv2-SP2

Love the color and the design, still trying to figure out if I should replace the Wi-Fi card myself or talk to Gigabyte about it. Over all, love this laptop

Great graphics card (can play Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 on Ultra settings everything maxed out) ; Powerful CPU, according to Cinebench its pretty much equivalent to a desktop I7-3770 ; Good screen quality ; Nice keyboard ; Sound is pretty good...

Well I hate to say it but there were a couple ; This one isn't Gigabyte's fault which is why I'm not docking any eggs, but the Intel AC 7260 wifi card inside this laptop is known to have many problems such as loss of connectivity after waking from...
