Review Gigabyte P34G Notebook

Bold concept. It is almost insane to put a GeForce GTX 760M into a thin 14-inch notebook, but Gigabyte does it anyway and the result is surprisingly good. Read our in-depth review for all the details. ...

Light and thin case; Accurate anti-reflective display; Clever port layout; Nice accessories (bag); Easy to maintain; Backlit keyboard; Nice design; mSATA SSD

Throttling under extreme load; CPU can get very warm; Clearly audible under load; Small stability issues; Weak battery

Thin and small gaming notebooks like the Alienware 14, One K33-3E, MSI GE40, MSI GS70 Stealth, Razer Blade or Schenker XMG C703.

Solid Ultrabook

A lot of people say that the touchpad bothers them, personally I don't mind it at all. It works perfectly fine for me, and I actually prefer touchpads normally (except gaming of course).

I love having the SSD and Nvidia dedicated graphics card, I can do just about anything I need with this laptop. It's fast, easy to use, and powerful

The main thing that I really wanted when looking for a laptop was battery life; I generally don't want to have to be plugged in all of the time. However, my list of requirements that I made included a dedicated graphics card and i7 processor, so I was...

Great Product!

Overall this is a great product with just a few very minor issues that should not dissuade you from buying it.

Thin ; Fast ; Beautiful

Lower battery life ; somewhat temperamental multi touch gestures ; screen has random bright plumes at the bottom sometimes, can be seen with black screen

It would have been insanely awesome but....

For its price it is a great laptop. For this price Razer or Alienware cannot compete with this product. But keep it in mind that there is a reason behind the lower price and it probably is the build quality. No one would ever be able to tell that this...

The GPU (keep it in mind it is very powerful for a laptop) ; The 128GB SSD ; The weight ; The picture quality(haven't come across any dead pixel..yet)

The Wireless network card(or software) ; The build quality(it is not poor but definitely not great) ; The power brick size ; The slots are shallow(both USB and SD card)

Dead pixel and loud

I got a high priced laptop because I needed a portable gaming machine for a summer job I have lined up. Little did I know that after lightly using the laptop over about two months (mostly downloading programs and games) to prepare for the summer it...

Small & light ; Quick ; Games decently well

DEAD PIXEL almost right in the middle of the screen ; Noisy fans ; Poor sound quality

A solid laptop that bridges the gap between portability and performance.

Keyboard - The keyboard is well constructed and although it suffers from a little flex in some very specific area you would never notice without looking for it. The keys are tactile, and feel great when typing ; Performance - This thing will play...

Touchpad - This is the biggest con for me. Coming from a Mac this touchpad does not compare, but seeing as I am usually using a mouse this doesn't hurt me too much. The touchpad is NOT unusable, but it is definitely decidedly average ; Screen - The...

Might be nice if I got to use it

If you get one that works it is a great system. If you don't the support has been the single worse experience that I have ever had. Little to no communication, they are not willing to help with an obvious lemon of a laptop that I got. Wont cross ship....

Looks nice and is light and powerful

Horrible quality control. The keyboard tray was loose. it overheated to the point of throttling ~100c and now it randomly powers off ; Horrible support. An RMA takes a month and I am on my second. Little to no communication, even when they claimed the...

Mobile workstation

A 240/256 gig SSD option would have been nice. 128 is rather small, especially after the Windows 8 installation and the recovery partition.

Powerful machine in a lightweight, slim chassis ; High res, high quality display panel ; Power adapter is relatively small and lightweight ; Included padded, faux leather sleeve is a nice touch ; Build quality seems very solid so far

Battery life can be stretched to 3.5 hours of so if you're using the integrated Intel HD4600 GPU. Switching over to the GTX760 will drain things quickly. This is a tradeoff that I made willingly, I always use it plugged in. There's just no way to keep...

Fantastic Machine

I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who's looking for a great gaming/productivity laptop in a small package.

I am thoroughly impressed with this machine. I bought this for school as well as some gaming on the side. However, my gaming on the side is not "light" by any stretch of the imagination. I bought this in order to play games such as Battlefield 4 when...

Battery life is slightly below average for a Haswell ; Fans can get a bit noisy when doing everyday tasks ; Touch pad is average
