Consumer review (newegg.com)

cost-effective compute machine with expandable storage

Solid feel. It seems larger than the comparable MSI, but much lighter than the 15.6" Alienware. No instructions for installing in the second M.2 slot. Most installed drivers were the most recent versions (shipped March 25), so only a couple of updates...

quad-core i7 6700HQ + PCIe/NVMe ssd are fast & balanced for all computations: SATA3 ssd can be a bottleneck against xeon or i7 1280 cuda cores with 6GB for raster processing under linux storage expandable to 2 M.2 PCIe + 2 2.5" spindles, so I don't...

10gb/s usb3.1 but not Thunderbolt 3. Heavy (1.2lb) but flat power brick: at 170w it has to be heavy only 2 RAM slots, so I have to discard 16GB to upgrade to 32 UPDATE: Gigabyte TS says I should pay them to install a second M.2 ssd without voiding the...

Near a Wall outlet this thing is a beast. Power Brick not strong enough.

If you are going to stay plugged in 90% of the time and only need the battery for browsing and lite gaming and only plan to go full blast gaming when the battery is fully charged and you are plugged in.. THIS is for you. It is an amazing well...

- Thin and clean look. - Very powerful, running the Division near max setting at 60fps. - Passable speakers. They sound good overall, with something lacking I cannot put my finger on. - No Bloatware. All the included software is minimal and just...

- The HDD Caddy is molded badly and does not form to the laptop very well. - Case feels flimsy lots of torque if picked up at and angle. - Battery with all power savings activated will give about an hour of game time. - Battery with setting at Nvdia's...

Surprised and Pleased

Overall a super purchase. I was a little uncertain about Gigabyte as a Laptop brand, as I had only ever used their MBs. However on researching them and looking at the alternatives for a powerful laptop, I thought I would give it a try. Very nice...

- Very fast - super high quality materials and construction - very crisp colors and contrast on the screen - sturdy hinge mechanism - ethernet port! - very efficient multi-tasking

- keyboard is sticky at times, with letters doubling up - Power button is a bit frail feeling, and requires a hard push to engage

Runs great but poor assembly quality

- The fans are a bit louder than a thicker 15" PC but this will be true for any slim PC with this much power. The laws of physics don't change just because the form factor is slim. Anything with this much processing power will put out heat. The machine...

- Runs witcher 3 and anything else I've tried on Ultra settings - Slim - light weight for the processing/gpu power you get. - fast - best combination of 980M and i7 processor for the money in such an awesomely slim form factor. - only other PC that's...

- I take 0.5 points off the for the size and weight of the power supply. It's huge...I mean big. When you're spending the extra money to get such a slim 15" gaming machine portability is important. If it wasn't you could get an Alienware or the beefier...
