The Presario CQ42 is an inexpensive entry-level system. There are no surprises here, either nice or nasty, and those seeking a basic office workhorse-type system will find it perfectly suitable.

Inexpensive ; Decent battery life ; Comfortable keyboard ; Inlaid pattern

Trackpad sits flush with the wrist rest ; Bland style ; Ordinary performance

The competition for entry-level computing dollars has never been more fierce. At this price point, you could equally and just as justifiably purchase any number of netbooks, an entry-level Apple iPad or several competing bargain basement notebook...

*tip. invest in paying the extra $50 dollars to get the version with 4 gb of ram, 320g harddrive celron processor. i havent had a flaw with this computer yet

Help!

Cheap, campact, does what I need

when I accidentaly lock the touchpad I cannot unlock it even by tapping the light, also there doesn't seem to be any drivers/support for this model on the HP website
