Know what you pay for

If you are decently techsavvy then pick one up or a similar model. After working through some problems you will have a nice machine.

You get a whole lot of computer for the price just know the issues. Seems like they fixed a lot of the touch screen and touch pad issues that were commented before by the time I got a hold of one.

Had to send it back due to my wifi card cutting out. They replaced it with a Intel Centrino 2230 which sucks. I am going to upgrade to one of the 7260 series which looks like it could be a PITA if my laptop has a whitelist but we will see. For $25 its...

Do your homework

The system is awesome as a whole. Beautiful design and the speaker is even awesome. Can out work my fairly new desktop with ease. The touchscreen is fantastic and very responsive. Price is almost unreal for what the system is capable of. Fingerprint...

This is where you need to be ready to potentially have done problems... the " control zone" touchpad is a wonderful thing once you get the hang of it. The problem is that there's some sort of widespread issue with it and a lot of the Envy notebooks. I...

HP M7-J120DX

Buy something else. Newegg.com, as usual, has been wondrous in customer satisfaction. Got a Newegg gift card as a refund and will be buying another laptop soon.

Price. CPU

Everything else ; I had three of these. All three had the SAME exact issue ; The trackpad was extremely glitchy. Using it to precisely click on something small is impossible. Period ; Using the touchscreen is nice, when it decides to work ; Randomly,...

Great Specs... Erratic Wifi... Nonexistent Support

My Pavilion DV9933 lasted 6 years. I literally wore out a keypad and two track pads. The Envy is a different kettle of fish: it's got great specs but simply doesn't work. The wifi loses sight of all networks after anything between a few minutes and a...

High feature content for the price. Great specs. In theory should be a great machine.

Loses sight of all networks. Nonexistent HP support. Crummy trackpad without separate mouse buttons. Windows 8.1 is simply awful.

FAST and beautiful

This is a real i7, not one of the 'H' series clocked down ones. The speed of this is fantastic!

Fast processor, good display, shiny case

large, loud

HP ENVY i7 Touchsmart Performance

I would purchase another one.

I bought this ENVY for my wife. She had been using an Intel dual-core for the last 5 years. I told her it was time for an upgrade. She was amazed at the speed and performance. The Touchsmart part along with the 8.1 Wondows was another learning curve....

Updating Review

Worth the price in Fall 2014. Top performance for budget price. Have been playing Steam games in 1080p with mostly ok results. The graphics are just good enough for casual gaming.

I wrote the previous 3 star review a bit too fast. All of the pros and cons from the last review still apply. However, after using it for a month, I'm pretty pleased. Processor speed is spectacular. I was also able to order a drive kit (overpriced as...

Still slightly aggravated with the dings in the metal housing as well as the need to buy proprietary power supply to not get a nag screen. I got a 2nd genuine HP PSU for the travel bag off an auction site for half the price HP charges
