HP Pavilion dv4000

Reasonably priced, newly updated dv4000 notebook has a great mix of features.

Fully equipped with great features

Touchpad is difficult to use

A terrific choice for consumers, the dv4000 strikes a good balance of work and entertainment features for a reasonable price.

Pavilion Dv4000 - HP Pavilion dv4000

The Pavilion Dv4000 offers great entertainment at a nicely affordable price.

The entertainment is sweet on the HP Pavilion dv4000, a great consumer laptop that serves up DVD movies and CD music without requiring you to boot up.

HP Pavilion dv4000

The dv4000 is much heavier (6.6 lbs) than the Toshiba M55-S325 (5.1 lbs), but with the added size comes a bigger 15.4-inch widescreen display. The optional BrightView screen is included in the price, which increases the brightness of the display. The...

Excellent performance. ATI Mobility Radeon X700 graphics processor. LightScribe burner

Less-than-average battery life. Not very portable

A faster processor and discrete graphics makes this multimedia dream machine even better.

HP Pavilion dv4000 (Pentium M 1.73GHz, ATI X700) Review (pics, specs)

I'd read some good reviews of the HP dv4000 and had been impressed with it, but I'd been put off because it only offered Intel integrated graphics. I'd been looking for a mainstream notebook and the size and weight of the Dv4000 were right in the...

It’s not as sexy looking as an ASUS, Fujitsu or Sony but it’s a solid machine. Only time will tell about the build quality but this machine cost half what a Ferrari cost, almost a third what a Qosmio G25 cost and the performance isn’t that far off...

HP dv4000 With X700 Graphics Card Review (pics, specs)

This is a review of the Hewlett-Packard dv4000 with the optional ATI x700 128MB discrete graphics card. This is a mainstream 15.4" widescreen notebook weighing about 6.5 pounds. The notebook being reviewed has the Pentium M 750, 512 MB of RAM, 80GB...

This was just the right computer for my needs. If I hadn’t purchased the extra 6 cell battery and the remote, I would have a machine that is capable of playing all modern games for less than $1,200. For anyone looking for a mainstream notebook, the...

HP Pavilion DV4000 Review (pics, specs)

This review is for the Hewlett Packard DV4000 laptop. The DV4000 has a 15.4" widescreen glossy display and borrows many of the features from the smaller and highly popular DV1000 notebook from HP, such as instant on DVD play (QuickPlay).

One of these days I'm going to buy a laptop that's a lot more multimedia savvy than my four-year-old Dell Inspiron 2500. When I do, I will seriously c...

Attractive design, high-quality display, DVD/CD quick play, easy to use, good-sized mouse buttons

Disappointing battery life

I have this laptop for more than three years and I enjoy using it. I appreciate the bright wide screen, the remote control and the design and amount of the I/O ports. The screen deserves really five
