HP Pavilion dv6500t

With the dv6500t, HP shows it can pull off an $899 laptop without skimping on parts.

Excellent bargain. Ample features, including a webcam and fingerprint reader. Good performance for the price. Lightweight even with a 15.4-inch screen. Pretty white ceramic design.

Would like to see discrete graphics included with the price.

HP Pavilion dv6500z Review

Affordable gaming and multimedia notebooks are nothing new to HP, and the updated dv6500z follows along with that tradition. Starting as low as $649, the AMD-based notebook offers users a notebook with outstanding features at a great starting price....

Durable Imprint Finish ; Super smooth accurate touchpad ; HDMI, VGA, and S-Video Outputs (everything you could ask for)

Some flex to the palmrest under pressure ; Display cover doesn't stop the LCD from making ripples under strong pressure

The HP dv6500z turned out to be a pretty nice budget multimedia notebook. The build quality and material selection was excellent, and the durable imprint finish holds up great to wear. Although the screen could have been improved, it was still fairly...

HP Pavilion dv6500t Review

The build of a laptop is important, especially one that will be carried around and used constantly, but I do not equate a solid feel with ultimate build quality.  I am pleased with the apparent quality of the dv6500t, but only time will truly tell how...

Great performance ; Looks that turn heads ; Outstanding display ; Good battery life ; Responsive keyboard ; Reasonably priced

Glossy chassis requires a lot of wiping to keep fingerprint-free ; Dedicated graphics option lacks true gaming power ; Moderate fan noise at high RPMs

Vista took 58 seconds to reach the desktop during a cold boot, including several seconds for fingerprint verification and log-on.  I'm favorably impressed with the OS itself, and many tasks take a significantly shorter time than in XP, like Microsoft...

HP's Pavilion dv6500t series of laptop computers is their new mainstream line of systems featuring their Radiance exterior. This polished black coating looks sharp and provides some protection during rough handling of the laptop.

HP Pavilion DV6500T - Great tool for college students, or just about anyone else

I've owned this laptop for just about a year now. I'm going into my sophomore year of college, and I have to say that this laptop was great throughout my freshman year. It has everything that a college student could want. I have to say that I'm fairly ...
