HP Mini 210 HD edition review

Netbooks for all! We're convinced that's the motivational saying plastered to the wall in the HP lab where the company births Minis for everyone but your pet fish. But of all the company's Pine Trail offerings, we're most excited about the $425 Mini...

Compact, stylish design ; Non-glossy lid ; Comfortable, chiclet keyboard

HD performance less than stellar ; Flaky touchpad ; Too much preloaded software

HP Mini 210-2000

The HP Mini 210-2000 netbook may not wow you with bells and whistles, but its battery can last nearly 10 hours on a single charge.

Multiple colors choices. Roomy keyboard for a netbook. Nearly 10 hours of battery life.

Small touchpad. Average performance.

HP Mini 1000

The Mini 1000, HP's new netbook, is by far the prettiest. But how do the other parts stand up?

Runs on the Intel Atom platform. Gorgeous, big (10-inch) glass screen. Best-looking design. Lighter than its rivals. WWAN, bigger battery, and excellent Ubuntu distro options later this year. Superior keyboard.

Mouse buttons are awkwardly placed. Slow-spinning hard drives. VGA-out requires a dongle.

Pavilion Zx5001us Notebook

Despite undistinguished performance, this system wowed us with its features and polished design.

Despite its bulk and less-than-stellar performance, we recommend the Zx5001 for its generous helping of features

HP Compaq Prosignia 190 P3/600/64/14.1TFT Laptop

WHAT'S HOT: The Prosignia 190's two modular bays let you set it up for either extra-long battery life or extra-light weight. To watch back-to-back movies or work long stretches while in transit, you can swap out the removable floppy and DVD-ROM drives...

Compaq Prosignia 190

Compaq's latest portable for small businesses can hold three batteries at once.

The Prosignia 190 can morph into whatever a business needs: a portable with fantastically long battery life or extra storage, and a giant screen in a 6.1-pound package.

HP Mini 1000 Review

The HP Mini 1000 is the much hoped for Intel Atom based update to the VIA platform Mini-Note 2133. With a complete refresh this netbook is thinner thanks to a smaller hard drive and lithium polymer battery but still keeps the same great full-size...

Review HP Pavilion dv6140ea

Entry-level entertainer. Sleek and elegant looking, but is it any ...

refined elegance, sturdy build, pretty good keyboard, quality speakers, useful webcam

mediocre performance, miserable vertical viewing angles, intense heating up, scanty interfaces and their unfortunate layout

The input devices, the keyboard and the touchpad, are quite sensible and user-friendly
