Great computer for your money

Got this computer for business and for an online graduate degree program I started. After searching dozens of options I finally decided on the ProBook series. I am very happy with the purchase. The computer is really fast, the processor makes...

Great Size, Lightweight, Good Battery, 2.0 MP Webcam, Fast Processor, Huge Hard Drive, Great Key Board, Windows 7 Pro, Solid Case, Strong Hinge

Bloatware, Bloatware, Bloatware.... There are dozens of unnecessary programs installed

I'd advise against this Laptop

Its not worth the risk. The price is cheap (for the amount of features this laptop has) for a reason, its because the QUALITY matches that cheapness. I'm not telling you to avoid HP, I actually like HP, I am telling you avoid this MODEL, if your at ALL...

Its cheap, its got a list of pretty decent features for the price. Large HD size, decent screen, its an HP, great accessory ports, etc. icore. On the surface, really good set of standard features

The quality :( The keyboard has a very cheap feeling. It flexes while you type on it, and the keys are ODDLY spaced, so that it doesnt feel natural to type on it. The delete key oddly enough got 'stuck' in the down position from day one. You'd have to...

Fast Machine

I gave 4 eggs because it booted into Windows after install in less than 10 seconds. This laptop is SCREAMING fast for the money. -Minus 1 egg because of no access doors on the bottom, this again, is aggravating. Glad all I was doing was adding RAM...

VERY fast machine ; 7200 RPM HDD ; i3 ; Only $524!! Incredible price ; Temperatures look good for all hardware ; Like previous review said, extra slot for RAM instead of 1x2GB sticks ; It's pretty, I like it ; RGB and HMDI out ; Plenty of USB and card...

Linux Users: Wireless driver problems in Ubuntu 10.10 and Mint (Julia) / Ethernet works great with hardwired connection ; Comes with Windows 32-bit installed, but we knew that ; No vents or access doors on the bottom. AGGRAVATING to upgrade RAM and...

Excellent laptop

I installed a spare copy of Windows 7 Prof. x64 as soon as I got this. Drivers were easily found through the HP website and Windows recognized almost all of the hardware from scratch. To anybody wondering about the RAM: I partly disassembled the...

Solid build, great price. Face recognition software is interesting

Disassembly is harder; this laptop does not have easy to access ram or hdd doors, although doing so is within warranty. UPS left parcel on porch with no notice

Initial Impression

This is a small, light (5lbs) practical and portable machine. Is that what you want? If not... It runs very well, for a laptop. The screen is nice, but not awesome; designed for normal applications. However the graphics "card" (inside the i-5 C.P.U.)...

Just as I expected

None, so far

RMA'd

Wound up buying a 13" macbook pro and replaced the 5400rpm witha 500gb 7200 rpm hard drive. Glad this was defective after all.

Everything worked like i expected. Quick service from newegg. Would have kept it if the down key wasn't broken. You don't realise how much you use it until it doesn't work

Down key was stuck from day 1. Gave it a couple weeks to see if it resolved its self. did not so i returned it
