It may be cheap but out of the box, but the HP ProBook 455 G2 Ubuntu won’t suit many users. A newer Ubuntu or Windows OS may help, but it’s not one for the typical untutored budget PC buyer.

Good value for money with Windows 7 Pro installed and Windows 10 media supplied. Also a laptop case included. Build quality good for the price

Lettering on keyboard could have better contrast to make it easier to read Lots of Windows updates needed to bring system up to date

HP ProBook 455 G2

 

The aluminium shell is great, a real premium look and feel. Much thinner and lighter than my 5 year old laptop. Display quality is standard, with a sturdy lid. I upgrade the Ram to 8GB making it much faster, and giving the on board graphics a boost....

No real issues, shame it didn't come with 8GB ram installed. Also Windows 10 kept BSOD due to either incompatibility with the wifi driver or Bullguard anti virus. Using an older driver seemed to of worked though.

Machine 'looks' good and it is very easy to start up from the box! Have not yet had it long enough to comment much further but initial impression is good and I like Windows 7.
