Review HP ProBook 4710s Notebook

Reasonable 17.3-incher for Professionals HP primarily designed th ...

Comfortable keyboard ; General build simplicity ; Long battery runtime

Produces lots of noise ; Poor workmanship ; No keys combination for touchpad ; High heat development at the bottom of the chassis

Overall, the Probook 4710s proves to be an interesting bundle for not much money. However, because of the reflecting display, the test sample is rather an entry-level multimedia device. Performance and connectivity (HDMI) would also fit

HP ProBook 4710s Review

The HP ProBook 4710s is a low-priced 17-inch business notebook designed to provide businesses with a good desktop replacement notebook without breaking the bank. If your company wants the HP Elitebook 8730w but has a tight budget, the ProBook 4710s...

A great price for a 17" business notebook ; Nice keyboard ; Attractive, conservative design

Sub-par build quality ; Bad touchpad buttons ; Too difficult to upgrade ; Poor thermal design (gets hot)

Bottom line, the HP ProBook 4710s, like the rest of the ProBook line, is a good notebook for its intended market. However, HP has some room for improvement if they want to turn this laptop into a deal that's too good to pass up

HP ProBook 4710s review

HP's ProBook offers value and comfort for business users

Good mobility ; Great performance

Connectivity could be better ; Screen not as vibrant as others

This laptop may be aimed more at business users, but solid performance makes it ideal for home users too

HP ProBook 4710s

HP's ProBook is all business, from its solid performance to its rather solid and stodgy style.

Good performance ; Good battery life for such a large laptop

Really plain style ; Huge and heavy

The ProBook 4710s performed well in our standard performance tests, racking up a score of 2854 in 3DMark and 5308 in PCMark. As a working machine then, the ProBook 4710s should work quite hard, something that's backed up by its battery life. We can't...

HP ProBook 4710s Core 2 Duo T6570 2.1GHz Windows 7 Pro 17.3 HD+ 4GB RAM 50

Normally considered a good machine, but we were unlucky this time.

A fault in assembly meant it was impossible to insert the battery. A replacement unit had to be purchased from a competitor in view of poor responses to requests for help raised with Laptops Direct.

HP ProBook 4710s Core 2 Duo T6570 2.1GHz Windows 7 Pro 17.3 HD+ 4GB RAM 50

It has enough power to run virtual machines alongside regular applications. It also has a decent size screen that allows you to work on a couple of windows side by side.

The shiny plastics and painted surfaces pick up fingerprints very easily!
