HP ProBook 6440b review

 

It may not be as eye-catching as some others, but this is still a solid business laptop

Good performance ; Solid build quality ; Decent battery life ; Quality keyboard

Relatively small HDD ; Limited RAM

Although this machine lacks some of the features of other laptops, this is aimed at business users looking for a reliable workhorse

So far so good ..

 

Will keep this .. upgrade of memory and 64bit OS.

Overall good configuration ; 4 core i5 CPU ; Wireless can connect to N network with 300 speed ; Can play HD video without any issues

2GB memory is limiting, hence will upgrade to 8GB (and will try to get the 64 bit OS)

Good value if you can see past problems

 

At under $300, this is a good value with solid performance and a reasonable screen if you can get past the cons below. Cosmetically very nice, but it has a prominent "Refurbished" sticker on it that I am unable to remove

Battery arrived dead and unchargeable. The web cam also would not work and a google search reveals it is a common problem since new. I would have expected a refurbished product (that meets original specs) would have a working battery and web cam. The...

A Little Disapointed

 

I still would recommend this computer, even after buying a new battery, It was around $350 which isn't bad.

Nice Computer. Works good and not filled up with a lot of junk

Battery was Dead as Dead. Would not charge at all. Computer would die as soon as it was unplugged. Bought a new battery for it and is now working good. I kind of thought that refurbished meant that everything was in working order
