HP ProBook 6465b

The HP ProBook 6465b has one of the most impressive feature sets in a small business laptop, yet its price won't use up an IT budget.

Fantastic screen resolution. Extensive feature set. Sturdy design. Great price. Features AMD's latest Llano APUs. Good integrated graphics power.

Pointing stick is stiff. Heavy.

AMD is slightly ahead of the curve in terms of graphics power, or at least further ahead than Intel. Keep in mind the A6-3410MX is an entry-level Fusion APU (there's the higher-tiered A8), yet the AMD Radeon 6250Gthe graphics portion of the chipgot...

Review HP ProBook 6465b LY433EA Notebook

SSD is everything. This ProBook is definitely aimed at professionals with its HD+ screen, DisplayPort and docking station. But the notebook only has a weak AMD quad core.

Robust, elegant case, Touchpad + Trackpoint, Strong battery life, Matt HD+ screen, Low temperature development, The plain yet elegant design as well as the many ports and expansion options

Pliable display lid, Lack of USB 3.0, Screen's brightness, Processor performance equals Core i3, The latest USB 3.0 and a brighter screen

A swing and a miss

While a new one would only run $25. I opted for a refund. Not knowing what the next one would be like.

Everything but the battery tested fine. In fact the 250GB drive was a surprise, since the description was for a 120GB drive.

The battery was too far gone for a charge to take. While a new one would only run $25. I opted for a refund. Not knowing what the next one would be like.

Great Value

The laptop came within about 3 days. The Windows 7 installation came off without a hitch loading from onboard CAB files. I noticed a problem with the DVD/CD drive so I called the refurbish company and they confirmed the drive was bad. They immediately...
