Review HP ProBook 6560b Notebook

Heavy metal reloaded. The ProBook 6560 LG658EA is an entry level business device from Hewlett Packard in a robust aluminum case. In addition to its high-end looks, the installed hardware is also impressive: a dual core CPU from Intel's second...

Elegant design, Good workmanship, High-end materials, Integrated WWAN module, Spill proof keyboard, Touchpad can be disabled, Well-arranged, contrast rich display, Fast hardware, Mostly quiet operation, We like the exemplary workmanship and the...

Short battery life during load, No USB 3.0 support, Narrow viewing angles, A USB 3.0 port would enhance the almost perfect notebook even more

HP ProBook 6560b (LW954PA) business laptop

HP ProBook 6560b review: A solid 15.6in business laptop, but it's not without its problems

Build quality ; Performance ; Security

Noisy ; Keyboard ; 32-bit Windows

With great build quality and lots of features, the ProBook 6560b should be a winner. However, it's let down by a couple of configuration issues, it's noisy and it's keyboard and touchpad could be better.

Fantastic Machine for the Price

I put an SSD in this for a client. It is such a fantastic machine that I'm considering getting one for my family.

Fast... Sturdy... Cheap... This little machine is great for the price!!

None! It's a Grade B refurb... I expected the nicks and dings!

They totally botched this order.

Received only 1 of 3 items. They sent me the wrong brand of laptop, smaller screen size, slower processor. Had my money tied up for the better part of a month, told me a replacement was on the way, told me it was not, then issued a refund that I have...

HP 6560B (SQ253UC#ABAC)

If you're looking for a general use machine, this is a great buy for the price. Without a dedicated GPU don't expect to run any intensive games, but if you're looking to browse the internet, check your email, write up documents and that sort of thing,...

Great machine for basic tasks and even light gaming. Bought it mainly because I have no privacy where my desktop is located and going back to school next year. It's exceeded my expectations. Replaced the HDD with an SSD and it's now blazingly fast.

None really. Exactly as described and perfect size for my purposes. Haven't had any issues.

Fast Machine

This is a great computer. Has a nice eggplant tinted color to it and is very sharp in appearance. Very fast and it doesn't get hot when it's on your lap

Big due to screen size. But that's it

Solid Business Notebook

With WiFi on and screen brightness reduced to 50% I get around 4-4.5 hours of battery life, not bad at all. Displayport video output is included, but I prefer HDMI (personal preference). On any 15.6" notebook 1366x768 resolution doesn't look that great...

Solidly built mid-range business notebook. The chassis is reinforced with magnesium for added strength. The aluminum finish on the casing feels solid and should withstand scuffs and abuse. Display hinges feel solid and should provide years of worry...

Typical HP bloatware, you'll spend some time uninstalling unnecessary HP applications. The edge of the palmrest is not beveled/rounded so there might be some very minor/mild discomfort depending on your typing style. Also the DVD drive button is hard...

honest laptop

This laptop is rugged, reliable and understated. It's elegantly simple and contains premium components like the flawless Centrino Advanced N 6205 wireless adapter.

I use this at work, great wireless performance... slips between access points w/o fail. Produces virtually no heat, good battery life. Quiet keyboard with defined edges. Docs and undocs dozens of times daily without incident. Multitouch pinch-zoom...

weak audio, finicky on/off softswitch for mouse, no bluetooth
