The HP TouchPad offers a smooth user experience and is a viable alternative to the other tablets on the market

Looks and feels good. Smooth operating system

Dearth of apps. Firing up apps is slow

If you're not after an Apple tablet, this is easily the best choice of 10in tablet on the market (although we know that Samsung has a slim model in the pipeline).

However, the rear is a different story with a glossy black plastic cover that we're not keen on. This makes the Touchpad feel lower quality and we found the cover was a magnet for fingerprint marks and the like
