The MateBook E is an impressive tablet-first 2-in-1 laptop. The OLED screen is the star, but it's also well built, with capable cameras, mics and speakers. Battery life is the main disappointment, along with a paucity of ports.

Huawei MateBook E review: The best all-round Windows tablet

A sumptuous OLED display, compact design and competitive price make the Huawei MateBook E a winner

Exemplary OLED display ; Decent cameras front and back ; Keyboard included with Core i5 model

Only one USB-C port ; No memory card slot ; Mediocre battery life

The MateBook E is the perfect Windows tablet: a device with enough performance to easily perform productivity tasks, a display big enough to enjoy media on and a good bundled keyboard. Much the same can of course be said of Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8...

Huawei MateBook E (2022) review

A capable Windows 11 tablet with included keyboard is the way to go for Huawei, but further refinements are needed for it to be the best 2-in-1 around.

Gorgeous OLED display ; Decent performance ; Great cameras ; Keyboard case included

Poor battery life ; Frustrating fingerprint sensor ; Very limited ports

The MateBook E and Smart Magnetic Keyboard make for a great on-the-go computer, but a couple of key weaknesses take the shine off the experience.
