Review Lenovo B560 Notebook

Essential. Office bargain hunters prick up their ears when Nvidia's Optimus is offered along with a graphics card for 399 euros. This is also the reason for our review of Lenovo's Essential B series. Performance for money champion or snail-paced runner?

Office performance, Quiet & cool, Low power consumption, Feasible battery life, Resistant case, Fingerprint reader & eSATA, Number pad, Good key drop and pressure point, Good touchpad haptics, The ribbed texture on the surfaces is pleasant to handle....

TFT not AR treated, Low contrasts, Narrow viewing angles, Touchpad keys, Fan pulsates slightly, Number pad's layout, Coiling key bed, An AR coated screen would have made a buying decision a lot easier for many

Flimsy

Specs for the price ain't bad

This it not the standard I am used to from Lenovo. It's flimsy. There is very noticeable deflection in the keyboard when you press keys. This one doesn't sit flat on a table. It's just flimsy. Comes loaded with crapware. I buy a lot of Lenovo laptops...

Lenovo Review

This is a nice laptop but needs more memory if you will be doing a lot of labor intensive work. The numeric keypad takes getting use to seeing as the enter key is on the bottom of the keypad instead of the side.

Lenovo Essentials B560 M489BUK

It has a very good feature set which goes beyond what you'd expect from a machine at this price. Software tools are excellent especially automatic back up feature. It has fingerprint recognition, an excellent webcam and very good battery life.

I found it difficult to resize the backup partition of the hard disk - given the size of the supplied hard disks, a partition greater than 18gb would have been useful.

Lenovo Essentials B560 M489BUK

Easy to use. Great hardware. Fast and efficient. Handles Windows 7 very well.

Battery depletes quickly at low levels. Cursor disappears sometimes.
