Lenovo IdeaPad 300-15IBR Notebook Review

Daily companion. Large display, enough performance to handle the various daily tasks on might encounter and an attractive price point: Lenovo's IdeaPad 300 costs 450 Euro (~$500) and targets price-conscious consumers with basic needs.

runs quiet and cool ; inexpensive entry-level configuration

lackluster keyboard ; display too dark ; performance suffers in battery mode

With their Ideapad 300, Lenovo aims to bridge the gap between affordable business and multimedia notebooks. Our particular configuration trails the competition in most areas, however, and therefore leaves us with a rather mixed impression. The simple...

Lenovo Ideapad 300 15.6″ Review

Lenovo is back with another Ideapad, and it's an interesting model. The laptop, at its lowest configuration, is very budget-friendly, but you don't necessarily have to make big compromises to hit that low price point. The 15.6-inch glossy display makes...

For the target audience, Lenovo’s Ideapad 300 is a pleasant offering — the inclusion of an optical drive and VGA are particularly welcome, as many people considering budget laptops aren’t necessarily up-to-date with their other technological trimmings,...

The Lenovo ideapad 300 is reasonably priced with good all-around performance. The i5 model provides an extra boost in performance. The optical drive and numeric keypad are nice additions as well

This is a budget-friendly laptop, so you aren't going to get top of the line performance or design. It would have been nice to see a few extras such as a backlit keyboard, but I can understand why it was omitted. The rocker trackpad button does seem to...

The Lenovo ideapad 300 walks the line between price and performance and manages to arrive at a good mix of the two.

Lenovo Ideapad 300 Review

Those speakers, the FHD display and dedicated disc drive make the notebook something I wasn’t expecting. Really, the Ideapad 300 is a great entertainment notebook. Watching streaming video on the device looks nice thanks to the high-definition display....

Lenovo IdeaPad 300 review

Ballin' on a budget

Affordable ; Pretty design

Very heavy ; Terrible processor ; Awful battery life

If you don't have a ton of cash and you need a solid device, the Lenovo IdeaPad 300 is a solid choice. Depending on how much upgrades are, you might also be able to affordably add a few decent specs to the standard model.
