The Lenovo Flex 2's touchscreen with a 300-degree hinge is a nice feature for the price. While it delivers decent benchmark results, however, its keyboard, display, and battery life disappoint.

Good price-to-performance ratio for its display size ; DVD burner ; Operates in stand and laptop modes

Disappointing battery life ; Dim display ; Limited to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

The Lenovo Flex 2's perks include a roomy touchscreen on a 300-degree hinge, plus a DVD burner and a hybrid hard drive, all for a reasonable price. The trade-offs: poor battery life, a dim display, and no

Lenovo Flex 2 (15-Inch)

Lenovo's Flex 2 is a reasonably priced, capable 15-inch desktop-replacement laptop with a unique 300-degree folding display.

1080p 10-point touch screen can fold back up to 300 degrees. Strong volume from speakers. Comfortable keyboard with numeric keypad.

Heavy. Short battery life.

With its affordable, under-$700 price and abundance of handy features, including touch capability, the Lenovo Flex 2 succeeds in reaching the sweet spot for a desktop-replacement laptop. Because of its size, you'll likely keep this system in a...

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 2 15 Notebook Review

Flexibility on a budget. Lenovo's expansive Flex lineup continues with the updated 15.6-inch model in time for the back-to-school season. We check out both the chassis and performance to see if this inexpensive touchscreen notebook is an improvement...

1080p IPS touchscreen option, USB 3.0 and optical drive, Backlit AccuType keyboard, Brushed aluminum palm rests and glass edge-to-edge display, Removable panel underneath, No throttling issues, Quiet when idle, 1080p IPS option for very wide viewing...

1080p IPS option is expensive, Weak backlight for outdoor use, Average build quality, Keyboard and touchpad have poor travel and feedback, Li-ion battery can no longer be quickly swapped, Slow hybrid drive, No VGA-out, Removable battery and improved...

Lenovo Flex 2 15 review

Lenovo's budget laptop falls apart at the seams

Sharp, colorful display ; Decent speakers

Cheaper design ; Squishy inputs ; Excessive screen glare ; Heavy on bloatware

A squishy keyboard and trackpad mar the Lenovo Flex 2 15, an otherwise great looking 15.6-inch laptop with a gorgeous 1080p screen.

Great bargain

I upgraded to Windows 10 with no problems. It runs great, and seems to be a better OS for a laptop with a touch screen than anything else IMHO. I am considering replacing the hybrid hard drive with an SSD. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Purchased this laptop for under four Benjamins. The touch screen is great. No cosmetic issues. The illuminated keyboard is a nice touch. The hybrid hard drive is interesting. The laptop just works well.

The 6 gig of included RAM is a little lacking. Upgraded to 16 gig.

Good laptop with touch screen for the price.

Over all I'm happy, though I do wish it really did have a dvd drive... The resolution is nice for a sub $400 laptop. Plus, it's not too heavy. The processor isn't meant for heavy game play or lots of hard work. The cpu works well for running a few apps...

Nice screen resolution, 1920 x 1080. OS is Windows 10 Home. Looks like it's an upgraded version of Windows 8.1 OS is 64bit The screen open to 300 degrees, so it doesn't flop over in your lap; like most tablets do. The touch screen function is okay.

Strange and kind of slow local disk, it's partitioned into a bunch of "Lenovo" specific segments. Kind of a mess. THERE IS NO DVD-ROM IN THIS REFUB SYSTEM. Nothing but a plastic cover. The pictures do even show an installed dvd optical drive. No eject...

Flex2 great for me

What a price! Definitely worth it!

The Screen is great, and I use the reverse hinge feature (turning the screen backwards) as well as the touch screen more often than I thought I would. Great for presentations (Power Point). The display is very crisp, and 1920x1080 is great. Keyboard is...

The mouse takes some getting used to, right clicking is a little strange. Definitely upgrade the RAM. The touch screen freaks out from time to time, you'll have to shutdown and turn on to resolve, reboot won't fix it.
