Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 review: Lenovo IdeaPad Y450

Lenovo IdeaPad Y450

Great design; good speakers; generous selection of ports.

Weak graphics; no Bluetooth; thick chassis.

Reasonably priced, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 is a style-savvy, media-friendly laptop that unfortunately lacks gaming graphics.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y550 Review

The IdeaPad Y550 is a 15.6" multimedia notebook from Lenovo offered in a mix of affordable and high-end configurations. In this review we look at a model equipped with the Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor and Intel X4500 integrated graphics.

Textured lid design ; Better than average speakers ; Comfortable keyboard and touchpad

Minor fit and finish concerns ; Low 1366x768 screen resolution

Awesome.

Works Beautifully. Fast, responsive, powerful

Battery life is rather short, unless you kill the performance, but that's to be expected ; It gets rather hot if I leave it on with the lid closed

Great Laptop

Great graphics for the price, good sound quality (built-in 2.1 dolby digital surround), Core i7 720QM processor == fast, fast, FAST. Veriface logon is super-cool. I purchased a Y560 from Lenovo, it had similar specs and was newer, but bluescreened on...

No recovery media and useless recovery partition, included backup software is a joke. Hard drive sometimes gets stuck during seeking and starts clicking, requires me to beat my computer until it stops- hdd will need to be replaced soon, I can feel it

Overall Quality Laptop, but with some quirks

Despite the quirks, I'm relatively happy with it (acts as a portable desktop with some annoyances that a desktop wouldn't have) and would recommend. But make sure none of those are dealbreakers for you.

Overall a quality laptop (although durability remains to be seen as I haven't owned it too long). The fast processer and solid video card are great for the price (it's great to have a laptop that can run cad software without much flakiness). Also,...

There are a number of quirks to this laptop. Obv reformat after purchase (but that is a general statement). Battery seems ridiculously small for the laptop's size. Two USBs on the right side is also kinda annoying ; Also, this just got me in a bind for...
