Lenovo X100e Review

The Lenovo X100e is an 11.6 inch business class netbook coming from the Thinkpad line and is currently priced at $514.95. The keyboard is terrific featuring the chiclet style keys with edges slightly rounded upwards on the edges prevent finger slipping...

Terrific design, Great keyboard

Low battery life

Overall I think the Lenovo X100e does a few things wonderfully for $514.95 Lenovo X100e available at Amazon.com: the keyboard, design, screen and solid build quality. The only thing you really need to decide is if 4.5 hours of battery life will be...

Lenovo X100e Preview - Business as Usual

Lenovo has sneaked in a tiny manifestation under its X-series belt. Here's a preview of the Athlon Neo-based X100e notebook, branded by Lenovo as an ultraportable for executives. Hopefully, it'll retain most of the charms of the brand's venerable...

Could be better

Had to return the unit as I could not stand the whistling of mobo.

Extremely good keyboard and pointing devices; in my opinion keyboard is better than on Macs ; Well-built, rigid case; good case design ; Good, clear screen ; Good-quality webcam

Poor electronic components make motherboard whistle, especially on video processing-heavy apps ; Poor quality Wi-Fi--it reaches 2-3 bars where Mac gets all 5 ; Short battery life in its class

x100e - Netbook Killer!

This computer is amazing. If you are looking for an ultraportable with a little more juice than your average netbook go no further! After countless hours of research and years of netbook ownership I settled on this after deciding it was time to...

Amazing Keyboard - 6 eggs for sure ; Great Build Quality - doesnt feel or look cheap ; Super light and Portable ; Thinkpad software ; Better Specs than any of the Atom netbooks

The cons are obvious and were understood before purchase nevertheless ; No HDMI ; Limited Battery life (3-4.5 hours with 6-cell) ; Ships with 32-bit Windows 7, why not ship with 64-bit

Great Netbook

This has to be one of the best netbooks around. I have always liked and trusted Lenovo and Ibm and they came through with another great product. The x100e severely out powers my old samsung nc10 (Intel atom 1.6) with its Amd Athlon Neo x2. Now I have...

Great processor ; Amazing keyboard (Really amazing keyboard... best I've seen) ; Beautiful display ; Decent battery life (without sacrificing power) ; 250gb hdd ; 2 gigs of ram (even if its 667 it runs great on this system) ; Love the trackpoint on...

No bluetooth ; Doesn't come with a sleeve or cover ; Can get somewhat warm during heavy operation ; I'm a trackpoint kinda guy, I could care less if the trackpad was there, would be cool if it wasn't... but that's just me, I haven't used the trackpad...

Awesome Small Form Factor Laptop

Got mine in red, 2GB with Win7 Pro and extra large battery. Didn't get it at Newegg though. Wife said it looked like a toy. A serious work-toy! Wish they come in even more fancy colors/designs! Please put in a ThinkLight! You have to tweak the LCD...

Very portable, lightweight with a good full-resolution LCD. Full size keyboard but I still prefer the normal keyboard vs chicklet. TrackPoint allows you to type and move your mouse without moving your hands! Does not cook eggs when running. Processor...

No ThinkLight, which I used a lot in my previous Thinkpad, I actually had a hard time looking at the keyboard when I type in darkness. Makes me want to upgrade to a Thinkpad x200. Still getting used to the chicklet keyboard

I will reconsider Chinese brand

Brand is Thinkpad. High Screen Resolution at this price level. Trackpoint is unbeatable

1. Wireless stopped working on the first day it came. After I applied new driver updates, wireless got 4% chances to get connected. It either says: no connection not connected or says: wireless available, then not unable to get connected. The...

It is what I expected

It's a Thinkpad... full sized keyboard, better processor, and has a larger screen, which happens to be matte and not glossy

The battery life sucks, but I knew that before buying it

Close, but not keeping it...

They are really close here... love the keyboard, but the screen does not have enough contrast and the computer is not capable of streaming video without dropping frames - even with the performance settings on high. I am exchanging for the new ThinkPad...

Great keyboard, weight, form factor, pointing device, trackpad

Screen has too little contrast (almost too bright), cannot stream web video without dropping frames, gets pretty warm, battery is tops 3 hours on high performance setting
