Lenovo ThinkPad R52 Review

The R52 has a comfortable keyboard, and its modular bay accepts many optional drives.

Comfortable keyboard, solid performance

Bland design

On our benchmark tests, the 1.73-GHz Pentium M 740-equipped R52 performed like the typical 1.7-GHz/600-MHz Pentium M laptop. The R52 earned a WorldBench 5 score of 77 compared with our average of 78 for notebooks using the slightly less powerful...

IBM ThinkPad R52

IBM recently breathed new life into its business mainstream ThinkPad R52-series laptop, loading its solid case with new parts such as Intel's next-generation Centrino platform, fast 533MHz RAM, and ATI's latest Mobility Radeon graphics chips.

Durable, functional case; solid performance and battery life; ample security features; swappable media bay; standard three-year warranty.

Undersize touch pad and mouse buttons.

Businesses seeking a sturdy, secure, portable workhorse should consider the IBM ThinkPad R52.

The R52 is the latest notebook from IBM's ThinkPad R series. It isn't meant for the highly mobile or even those that are on the move the majority of the time. But if you plan to be occasionally on the go, this is a good choice for a notebook. It's not...

LENOVO THINKPAD R52 PENTIUM M 1.7GHZ 1GB 40GB XP PRO COMBO

Lenovo ThinkPad R52 has a moderate size and weight, ideal for a business laptop. Actual dimensions are 12.4" x 10.2" x 1.3". It weighs around six pounds. It is thicker and heavier than similar laptops. You can come across many different configurations...

Excellent screen; Good endurance levels; Affordable; Comfortable keyboard with dual pointing devices
