Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 review: all business

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 refines one of the best business laptops, although its performance is lacking.

Solid build quality Dizzying array of display options Excellent keyboard Above-average battery life Good business support

Touchpad is too small Expensive for the performance

“The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 isn't a performer, but excels in battery life and security.”

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 (2022) Review

Sleek, sturdy, and ultralight ; USB-A and HDMI as well as Thunderbolt 4 ports ; Unbeatable keyboard ; Top-quality screen choices including OLED and 4K ; Solid productivity performance and battery life

Business-class price ; No SD or microSD card slot ; 5G option not yet available

A 12th Gen Intel CPU, a sharper webcam, and more display options cement the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon's place as the finest laptop for business—and likely the finest laptop, period.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) review: One step forward, two steps back

Still one of the best business laptops, but are we reaching a ceiling here?

Impressively sleek, lightweight design ; Bright and vivid display ; Surprisingly strong speakers ; Incredible keyboard ; Decent 12th Gen Intel performance

Slower SSD speed ; Weaker battery life ; Slightly cramped touchpad

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) continues to be one of the best business laptops you can buy right now — thanks to its super slim design, fantastic keyboard ergonomics, and speedy performance. But with a slower SSD and battery life taking a bit...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen10 Review

The Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 Gen 10 is one of the “executive” laptops many companies and people have on their shortlists. It has...

Ultralight and extremely durable ; Very good performance and battery life ; Lots of full-size ports ; Flexible configuration

No discrete GPU ; Audio could use more bass

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 has a solid ultralight performance, and it’s not surprising that it remains one of the most popular 14″ for Enterprises. We’ve recently seen it being offered by default to employees along with the Macbook Pro....

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 Laptop Review: Alder-Lake P28 without great effect

Notebookcheck reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10, a very lightweight laptop for business customers. The newest generation has Alder-Lake-P28 and a better FHD webcam. A decade of laptop design culminates in today's review unit, the Lenovo...

high quality chassis;matte low power screen;WiFi 6E & 4G upgradable;legacy ports;comfortable input devices;good speakers;improved 1080p webcam;acceptable battery life;quiet active cooling

bad performance under sustained load;shorter battery life than the predecessor;DPC latency problem;soldered RAM;no SD card slot;screen does not reach 400 cd/m²

For the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10, the platform upgrade to Intel Alder Lake is the main focus. In the case of the reviewed unit, it is Alder Lake P28. All things considered, we can say: the new generation fails to meet our expectations.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 30th Anniversary Laptop review: OLED edition with stamina issues

In review at Notebookcheck is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 30th Anniversary Edition. This light and high-quality laptop for business customers includes a very good OLED display, which, however, results in a short battery life. 30 years is an...

high-quality case;OLED anti-glare display;WiFi 6E & 4G;legacy ports;comfortable input devices;good speakers;improved 1080p webcam

poor battery life due to OLED;DPC latency issues;soldered RAM;no SD card reader;display with PWM

Even without an OLED display, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 is a very good business notebook. Our first review device, with an IPS panel, achieved an overall rating of 90 percent. With OLED, the display quality is significantly increased, but...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) review: The best business laptop?

The 10th generation of Lenovo's iconic ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a stunning 14-inch laptop on almost all counts, although battery life could be better.

Compact, lightweight and durable ; Plenty of configuration options ; Excellent keyboard and speakers ; 1080p webcam with privacy shutter

Small trackpad and wrist rest ; Disappointing battery life ; No SD/MicroSD card slot

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) is a stunning 14-inch laptop. Extremely well made yet still lightweight, with plenty of configuration options including mobile broadband, an excellent keyboard, great speakers and the 1080p webcam that's a...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 review: A fast-but-flawed version of a great laptop

Intel's 12th-gen CPUs make for a mixed upgrade to one of the best laptops.

A truly great ultraportable laptop design, with a large screen, light weight, a decent port selection, and a comfortable keyboard and trackpad.

Larger-than-usual gap (and tradeoffs) between Balanced and Best Performance modes.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 Review: Pricey, But Powerful

After reviewing Lenovo's X1 Carbon Gen 9 laptop last year, I was excited to get my paws on the newest Gen 10 model. I wasn't disappointed! The X1 Carbon Gen 10 is a beast of a machine and capable of handling almost anything I threw at it.

Sleek carbon fiber and magnesium chassis ; Powerful specs ; Long battery life

Speaker system isn't the best ; A pricey investment

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) review: business premier

If you want a workhorse laptop that's ultraportable and near-perfect to use, this pricey ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a supreme option

Slim, light and tough enough ; Excellent OLED display ; Top-tier keyboard and touchpad feel ; Unobtrusive fan noise

Very expensive ; Speakers lack bass oomph ; Punchy P-series processor results in just decent battery life

It may be too expensive for most of us to seriously consider, but the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) sits at the top of the pile of laptops made for work, particularly if you do a lot of travelling. It's business premiere.
