Review Lenovo ThinkPad X121e NWS5QGE Subnotebook

Big name, small money? Lenovo's X-series has always stood for a h

fast hard drive; comparably good system performance; easy access to components; good upgradeability; very long battery runtimes; good mobile properties; very good price/performance ratio; good VGA signal quality; matte display with good brightness; the...

display flexes in some areas; keyboard layout takes some getting used to; USB ports on the right spaced far from each other; below average touchpad; relatively loud with little load; display has weak contrast and low viewing angles

The ThinkPad X121e (matte display) is unique in its current form. Hence, its competition originates mostly in-house. Edge 11 and X100e currently on sale, X121e with Intel CPU and Acer has the Travelmate 8172 in the race.

Lenovo X121e-204562U Laptop Review

Budget notebook made better. The ThinkPad X120e with its AMD Fusion core marked a significant improvement over the 2010 X100e, but does the Sandy Bridge-equipped X121e bring enough to the table to supplant the award-winning X120e?

Gute Verarbeitung und verbessertes Design, Gute CPU Leistung, Lange Akkulaufzeit, Heller, matter Bildschirm, The impressive CPU performance offered by the 11.6-inch notebook is one of the more powerful processors offered in a sub 12-inch notebook while...

Hohe Temperaturen, Lautes Lüftergeräusch, Pfeiltasten immer noch dicht gedrängt, The cool temperature levels and quiet performance of the X120e were both sacrificed in favor of a stronger processor. The front LEDs have also been removed in the new...

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e

This tank-like 11.6in ultraportable offers more features, versatility and sheer quality than you have any right to expect for its starting price of around £330.

Excellent value ; Built like a tank ; Superb keyboard ; Decent, matt 11.6in screen ; Optional 3G

No USB 3.0 ; No Core i5 option

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e 3045 review

The Lenovo ThinkPad X121e 3045 comes in as a pretty cheap business laptop and though it'll appeal to the budget- and size-conscious, you'll also need to downsize your expectations of features and performance.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X121e 3045 is a practical, portable laptop that has a lot to offer business users – especially those that travel and work in cramped conditions like aircraft and trains. The keyboard and touchpad took some getting used to, and the...

Lenovo X121e

Following Lenovo's usual design philosophy, the X121e is boxy but good: compact, solidly constructed, reasonable performance and great battery life all in one.

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e

Tiny laptops have taken a battering recently, with the Apple iPad and other tablets becoming increasingly popular. The Lenovo ThinkPad X121e could change all this, offering great quality, usability and performance in a compact package that's perfect...

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e review

An ultraportable ThinkPad for less than £500 seems like a bargain. We dig deeper to find out if there are any catches.

There's a lot to like about the Lenovo ThinkPad X121e from its low price and sturdy build to its lengthy battery life and built-in 3G. However, using it is a lackluster experience thanks to the dim screen, iffy pointing devices and compromised...

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e 3045

Reasonably compact size, excellent keyboard, good screen resolution, plenty of useful features like built in 3G and GPS.

Touch pad can be tricky to use. Cursor and page up/down keys are rather small. Quoted thickness of machine (24mm) is misleading, as it doesnt include the battery - its actually 28mm with the battery. Would be useful to have LED to show when battery...

Lenovo ThinkPad X121e 3045

Fairly compact and light, battery life is about 6 hours of normal use. Performance is good for a small laptop. Keyboard is good. Inbuilt 3g is very good, and has far better connectivity than my previous dongle.

There is only a power indicator light - no caps lock or disk activity lights! The touch pad surface is not smooth, which I find annoying.
