Medion Akoya P6624 (MD98390) notebook

It's a little hard to believe a notebook as well-featured as the Medion Akoya P6624 (MD98390) can be purchased for $899. It has excellent graphics per...

Excellent value for money, USB 3.0 port, HDMI, 640GB hard drive, good graphics performance, good battery life

Has 32-bit Windows 7 installed by default, number pad is squished

The Medion Akoya P6624 is a marvellous desktop replacement notebook for anyone who has a sub-$1000 budget. It features plenty of mod cons considering its price, and its good graphics performance makes it a legitimate notebook for a budget gamer. It...

Medion Akoya P6624 review

With a specification that leaves it looking rather like a playground bully, Medion's Akoya P6624 wipes the floor with the competition.

If you simply want the best performance for your pound then nip down to Sainsbury’s and pick up one of these – if you can find one, you won’t be disappointed.

Medion P6624 MD98390

Medion has been delivering value notebooks for the longest time and it is no surprise that their new 15.6-inch notebook packs a lot of features for $899. If you are in the market for something portable, then go to your nearest Aldi store next week.

Good build; Multitude of input/output ports; HDMI and USB 3.0 included; Good audio quality; Long battery life; Packed with software; Lightweight

Screen not as bright as other notebooks and is prone to tearing during fast moving scenes; Gets hot at certain areas; Two USB ports are located near the AC port, which may cause problems for users with wide USB drives

Good

Overall a great PC with good performance, smart design. A good way to change your desktop to laptop and value for the money.

It can do everything, fantastic graphics, plenty of space on the keyboard, great sound, fast speed and performance. The screen you can tilt right back and it keep a low temperature.

The only problem I found so far is the two USB ports next to the power socket are to close [hard to connect]
