MSI GX600 (Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz review: MSI GX600 (Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz

MSI GX600 (Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz

The MSI GX600 has a distinctive case design; slim profile; Turbo button gives slight performance boost; beautiful nonreflective display with a sharp resolution; Webcam; HDMI output; eSata connector; 802.11n support.

Some half-size keys make typing difficult; pokey multitasking performance; frame rates suitable only to the casual gamer; mediocre battery life.

The MSI GX600's snazzy case looks like a powerhouse gaming laptop, but its performance is better suited to the casual gamer.

Great rig

Speakers are freaking amazing, and backpack is not bad too definitely worth the money

Amazing speakers (subwoofer) ; relatively light given its 17" size I think ; cheapest laptop with this class of processor (not the standard T5xxx line) and dedicated graphics

you might not like the numpad, arrow keys are sort of small

Contrary to what another reviewer mentioned. This laptop DOES contain a Bluetooth device installed. The hotkey directly right of the the power button next to the P1 button will activate your bluetooth and intel wifi adapter. The webcam included in this...

Very good laptop for the price... plenty of features for anyone wanting a laptop that can play games or do basically anything else you may need a laptop for... the 8600M GT isnt the best, but it is powerful enough to handle most of todays games....

UK Keyboard, not quite used to that the US Keyboard layout functions as if this is a US keyboard, so that takes a bit of getting used to as the " key is labled as being Shift+2 but still preforms the @ symbol as a US keyboard would. BATTERY LIFE!!!...

I just jump on this. Have not receive the laptop yet. but I call Newegg rep. they told me to call MSI for the US Warranty. I called the MSI, the tech support said, yes the warranty valid in US. I will Newegg put this in the website since it is an...

Remember, this model was released in the UK so some of the keys are different. Does that mean the warranty service center is overseas? The materials in the box indicate that...I'm not sure if they would service this stateside.

I recently purchased the slightly upgraded version of this laptop (227 vs 226) ; Cheapest dedicated video (better than the 9xxx options that are similarly priced) with core 2 duo ; The processor heatpipe cooler is actually pretty neat ; Minimum...

5400RPM HDD ; The included headset is kakka dookie, no biggie ; Mouse cord is CHEAP and THIN ; Mine did not have bluetooth despite product stats

Really happy, but...

Was hoping for a smaller size mouse, but this one is standard (an again, free). Not so much a pro/con but rather a detail worth mentionning.

Compare to my ex wife's Laptop (ACER 17"), this has MUCH better speakers and better monitor, performance and disk capacity for less. And it even includes the backpack, mouse, headset/mic... which she had to buy separately... That's enough for ME to be...

My first Laptop (ever... really). I'v always hated laptop KBs, but this one actually feels pretty naural. Alphanumeric keys feel the same as regular KB, but keys do get crowded for the special keys around the Enter key. Important note: KB layout seems...

The little "gift pack" MSI gives you (backpack, laser mouse and gaming headseat) only sweetens the deal. As usual, Newegg rules, 2 days order to front door shipping.

Just got this today and wow is all one can say about this notebook. 700 bucks gets you an incredibly capable machine from MSI. Very little bloatware installed and the hard drive is already partitioned for an OS drive and data drive (though that task is...

Just getting used to the keyboard layout. The @ and the " are actually labelled incorrectly on the keys. The " is where the @ is and vice versa

Quite a Value!

For the price, this system can't be beat. If you're looking for doing some college/office work, this is the machine for you. The hard drive is great for storage and media, and it's a big enough machine to tackle Vista. However, if you're looking for a...

This laptop is wonderful! It came with all kinds of extras. A backpack/Laptop Case, A gaming mouse (Rebadged OCZ Equalizer at 2500dpi), a headset, and a copy of Halo 2. Also, all the drivers and the actual Vista DVD came with it as well. So far the...

Don't let the gaming gear fool you though, it's still just an entry level laptop. Also, a few more things should be noted. The six cell battery does not have NEARLY enough juice for this laptop. At half power you get about 2 hours of battery life. It...

Not bad at all, but minor issue...

A great produce overall

The price is just unbeatable, especially with all these mid to high-end components. The screen is a matte screen so there is no reflection from other sources of light. Nice and comfort full size keyboard and the numb pad is a major plus. System is not...

Minor mistake either made by newegg or the manufacturer: newegg listed the system has Bluetooth device installed; however, it is no where to be found either in the system or anywhere else in the package
